Incidentally, can anyone confirm, did Steve Wright use that music in the Lazer station opener audio, back on Radio 1 in the 1980s or was it something similar ?
Thanks Paul...I`ve just remembered, that bit of music is featured in a package for a station in Washington D.C. Not sure which company the music is from, this is how it appears on my jingle-list...

thanks for the Lazer 558 jingles in excellent quality too, the drum roll on the 7th jingle sounds like it`s from JAM`s BASIC demo. Thanks for the Rock n Roll Thunder voice demo - never heard that in its entirety before...nice one !
I`ve got some CHarlie Wolf stuff for Lazer 558 somewhere, if I find it I`ll post it here.

Pirate Radio Mi Amigo used it as Newsopener for some time
Just found the original jingle of a theme Steve Wright used several years ago (also used by Lazer 558)...the original jingle is from a package called We`re The Difference for WDON Washngton D.C. by Gwinsound, here`s the cut...
If I remember rightly, the CD of these Laser jingles (which I got from E.A.P.) contained a full length song for Laser (I think it started "Hot Hits Hot, Hot Hits Hot...").
Unless someone beats me to it, I'll dig out the CD and post it.
The specific “Jingle Time” segment can be heard from 1:12:24.
At the time, JAM was very committed to doing jingles for BBC Radio 1/2 and there was a general understanding that JAM wouldn’t sell sung jingles to any station in the UK. Consequently, JAM ended up producing a small number of acappellas, which Laser 558 then mixed with laser effects to create the station IDs.

( PS - makes me think of the "Pina Colado" song by ? Dean Freedman ? )
The CD also contains a few Laser jingles attributed to JAM Creative Productions.
I'll upload them tomorrow if I get chance.
Jon Wolfert talked about those “Laser 558” JAM jingles on his Rewound Show back on Sunday 28th April 2019:

The last 3 contain effects added by the station.
