It’s been quite a while since I’ve uploaded new audio, although I’ve made a decent amount of new recordings in the last year… Well, I saw Neal mention that today was World Radio Day, so what better excuse to finally get everything online!

I just thought I’d start a new discussion so I can use this to post any new audio I upload to SoundCloud in the future.

I uploaded 29 new montages today, with only 3 of those being true “off-air” recordings. The rest were recorded from webstreams, with varying quality. I’ll start off with the 3 off-air recordings.

The first is actually the most recent, from KMDX in San Angelo.

For these next three, I found a directory of stations with high-bandwidth webstreams, so I thought I’d see if I could find some jingles. For being recorded off the internet, I think these almost match off-air quality.

Listened to a bunch of the demos on JAM’s website. Most of the KVST cuts are from their Country KHJ package. Updated the info again.

Nice job on the montage! waite, did I here n2effect on KNIN? I didn’t know that the xtreme Kiss Dallas 04 morning show cuts was used on KNIN. nice! I have a question: do you have any audio from N2Effect? would love to hear some jingles! I’m following you on sound cloud.

Just back from Austin, and I already have one new montage ready to go: RW1-Country from KASE. I have plenty of material to make montages for KHFI & KKMJ, but will have to get to those later. Anyway, enjoy!

i know i am a few months late, but looking back at this montage reminds me of the trip i did last year, and texas was the fun part. i remember catching what was to be the last of rw1 on KILT before a switch to 360 country, before the real change to the bull. i caught the same stations, plus a few more.

Our country station in Northwestern Pennsylvania uses Reel World One Country and out of all the stations posted here, K-Tex/KTTX is the station that sounds most like ours. Just replace K-Tex with “97.5 The Hound” and change around a few location specific thigns and thats us.

By the way, TRC1.. you have K-TEX incorrectly listed. It’s not KTEX Mercedes, TX (near Brownsville).. it’s KTTX Brenham/College Station.. two completely different areas of the state

The montage TRC did does belong to KTEX in South Texas (FM 100).

KTTX is at 106.1 in Bryan-College Station.

It gets real confusing as KTEX’s website is ktex.net while KTTX’s website is ktex.com.

I hear a KTTX Mercedes ID, which is the Bryan-College Station signal.

But then I hear FM 100 ID’s which is the Rio Grande Valley station near the Mexico border

right, but KTTX 106 is actually licensed to Brenham, TX, where as KTEX is in Mercedes. i remember that, because we had got stopped there on the way back home for the border patrol.

OK, you might get this. KTTX is using TM’s rough and ready, while KTEX is using reelworld 1 country.
