Sadly he’s not here to hear it, but I know David would have loved this as it’s 100% pure JAM ~ without doubt HIS favourite jingle company.

I was going to delay posting it…. but instead… I’m doing it in David’s memory. Ever since he heard our PAMS jingles at Metro nearly 40 years ago he was ‘fired-up’ by good jingles.

Also, my thanks (and apologies) to Geoff Barton whose re-sing of this both inspired me to lyric it, and get it… I could not resist..

The jingle ‘sings for itself’.. I need say no more…

        Len,

I would like to think that, somewhere out there, David is smiling in approval. Thank you for sharing it. I’m sure that he would have loved it.

David loved the original cut, loved the JAM packages of this period, and would most certainly have loved that resing. Wonderful, Len.

At the end of a sad week… I’d like to pick-up with more of this superb cut. This is the centre accappella lyric mixed into the end part.

I remember hearing Geoff’s version and how many mixes and ‘bits’ one gets. Jon is very generous with these and as it’s under 20 seconds all for the ‘basic’ price ~ true value. Anyone considering their first personal cut is well advised to find something with overlapping vocals, such as this. Take a long time to ‘fit’ the new lyrics, the longer the better, I almost made a big mistake but Jon advised me ~ you never stop learning about the ‘art’ of good jingles!

This was meant for 2013 but I could not resist adding it to my 60s Cafe now, so you can hear this and the other mixes any weekday at noon on http://www.solidgoldgem.am

Something special (from the ‘Special Touch’ cut) for Sunday. A ‘donut mix of the jingle, with hallf the call and response vocal mixed out, which gives me 3 places to drop in a voice-over, “a la Tony Blackburn” !

This cut is endlessly versatile. I love it more with every listen
