I know quite a few people have ordered and got this. I jusdt wanted to say i think it is excellent …so many great packages
Freedom
WBZ Count on us
Every ones coming up a winner
Direct Hit ( it’ll always be BRMB to me )I know they are out of fashion long sung jingles with more than just the frequency and strap line but they really are fantastic to listen to. The orchestration, vocals everything about them is total class. The 28 voices of Direct Hit sound really powerful.
Oh and intorceptor KIXK really rocks

I got this box set just over two week ago, which is actually 7 CDs!
All the demos sound really great, but the best demo is Magic FM.

The set really does kick ass, doesn’t it?! As the back cover liner note says — crank it up!
Oh… and it’s SEVEN discs!

All I can say is roll on Box set 2 ( of 7 )
September 29, 2003 at 11:34 am #12697TaterStudIt’s funny – I actually got this set of discs from TM about 3 years ago when I was down there for a jingle session. I gave them to KenR to distribute.
They were all so cool to listen to — but the funniest part about them are the liner notes that came directly from TM’s sales department. They had made these discs for their sales people to listen to, and see if any of the packages could still be currently sold.
Some of the packages noted “This is absoloute SHIT” from the sales manager. Another noted that the WXTU country package could “be retooled — perhaps for an AC station”.
One package that I love on the discs (I assume it made it to the KenR copies) is “Great Ties” — probably my favorite package of all time.

I have just posted two great demos from the Box Set in the ‘download section’……….Magic FM and The New Mix…
Enjoy!
March 6, 2004 at 12:35 pm #13094AdminFor $149 this is amazing value. I would say its worth at least double that!
I can only imagine the amount of time and effort it took to restore the audio. I’ve seen the state of Muff Murfins masters (and its not healthy!).
Good to see ‘Retaliate’ made it onto the set. Only one station in the UK had this package re-sung. A pat on the back if you know who it was (copies are rare). Also, an RSL in Kidderminster used some of the beds back in 2002.

March 6, 2004 at 12:45 pm #13095Admin‘The New Mix’ is actually a re-sing. It was originally done for WAPP New York (although the original name of the demo escapes me).

If you play the best and aren’t afraid to say so then you need POWERPLAY
And for those purests who want to hear all the cuts in the WAPP package in lyric sheet order

Although of course WAPP nicked the package from the mighty powerhouse Severn Sound
