I’ve been meaning to post this for some time. Some had seen these call letters on the ASCAP website – I couldn’t put these out until we launched – which we finally did. Enjoy these great cuts from JAM and Jon… including yet ANOTHER Breakthrough top of hour!
April 27, 2012 at 10:16 am #83821BarrasSuperb !
Thanks Chris for posting this WRMO montage and what a great selection of JAM cuts, Breakthrough & KZZP stand out best for me.

April 29, 2012 at 4:08 pm #83842simon_t123Memberwoah ! that’s a great montage Chris, thanks and what a package that is not only is there Breakthrough #1 in there but also THE top of hour us UK peoples love so much from the BBC Radio 1 ‘Britains Favourite’ package or KZZP as it’s better known stateside it’s a really great package & so well sung …
April 29, 2012 at 4:39 pm #83843mjb1124MemberGreat selection of cuts – nice change of pace from the usual classic JAM cuts we hear resung nowadays. I always thought Power Station would work very well on a modern “classic hits” format.
April 30, 2012 at 5:15 am #83855TaterStudGlad you like them as much as we do! Already working on the next batch. My owner is a jingle lover, thank God!
May 1, 2012 at 8:24 pm #83885tyty21ha ha ha! is it streaming? i’d love to aircheck! and will there be a top of hour with a city/county sing?

Oliver Twist once said this about radio ID jingles…
“Please sir, can I have some more ?”

January 22, 2019 at 3:58 pm #92021ntcarver0MemberHi,
Time to revive an ancient thread :d.
This station was one of the first that actually made me interested in jingles. I have so many great memories of listening to Delilah at night when I should have been asleep. And my favorite part of it was hearing some strange people sing “93.7 The Wave”, as I knew it then, over and over.
Of course, I later figured out these things were radio jingles, and I began to notice them more. But the shame is that I never got any airchecks of 93.7 The Wave before it changed formats to Maine Public Classical about a year ago. I’ve been searching ever since, and just stumbled across this thread. Would anyone have copies of the 93.7 The Wave jingles?
Cheers,
Noah

January 29, 2019 at 4:24 pm #86568glenNever heard it.
January 30, 2019 at 5:51 am #86570mjb1124MemberThese were the jingles they used as a Classic Hits station initially.

I did get to hear their Soft AC iteration over the air once when I was in Bar Harbor for a friend’s wedding. I know they had cuts from Digital Mix and Pacific Coast among others. Would definitely like to hear those jingles. Last I knew, the format moved to 94.1 and was still using JAM jingles.
EDIT: Found a later aircheck with a jingle at the beginning. https://soundcloud.com/search?q=93.7%20the%20wave%20jingles

Thanks so much.
Yes, those A-C jingles were amazing. And I’ve never heard those classic hits jingles. It’s a nice composite. Thanks so much for unearthing that.
Sadly, the format moved to Bangor, which is the “big city” in our market so it’s not surprising. It sucks though because I can’t pick it up where I live. Also, I just don’t like how the new cuts sing 94.1 the wave. But alas, you can’t have everything.
Edit: @tyty21 just sent me a mix of those A-C cuts taken from the online stream.

That would be from Hi Qume cut 15.
January 31, 2019 at 2:08 pm #86427ntcarver0MemberIncidentally, does anyone know where the cut at 1:24 came from? It also shows up at 2:09 with a slightly different ending.
