Hi all,
Can anybody help me identify which packages these two cuts originally come from? (apologies for low quality)
Channel 103 Current Weather cut
http://www.aoov41.dsl.pipex.com/103_weather_july03.mp3Key 103 Top 10 at 10 intro early 90’s
http://www.aoov41.dsl.pipex.com/top_ten_key103.mp3They both sound like they are from Jam, but i’ve not heard either on a demo.
Thanks for your help!
July 13, 2003 at 4:19 pm #12606JingleMadMemberCan’t help you on the first one, but the second is an easy pitch . . .
HITRADIO.
An excellent package! The demo is on both Classic JAM and Authentic 80’s.

http://www.aoov41.dsl.pipex.com/top_ten_key103.mp3The end sounds like a Q Cuts accapella to me, mixed into something else. Haven’t heard it before, and I’ve got most of the JAM KEY 103 stuff, apart from the re-done (I think!) KBIG cuts from ’89.
July 13, 2003 at 10:17 pm #12608JonnyhThe first cut is deffinately from the Hit Radio 1 package originally developed for KHTR, St Lois.
The Second is familiar. I’ve heard it re-sung for another British station but can’t find it’s origin. If I were you, MP3 it to Jon Wolfert: jmw@jingles.com. He’ll let you know exactly which package it’s from.
Hope this helps.
July 14, 2003 at 7:06 pm #12611bigdave1The Key 103 cut is from 2Kool (KXKL Denver) and it’s cut 8 with an accapella “Key 103” cut in …..
The package is on the deleted Digital Mix compilation as well.
By the way , it’s definitely Hitradio for the 103 cut . Not only do I know one of the jocks there, I’ve seen the demo !!!!

Thanks
February 7, 2004 at 7:05 pm #12945RjMSeeing as you were all so good last time, here’s a few more JAM queries that have been bugging me, and i’m sure you can help with.
1: In this Pirate FM cut what is sung right at the end after ‘Pirate FM South West’?
Pirate FM2: What JAM package is this Yorkshire Coast Radio cut taken from?
Yorkshire Coast Radio from Scarborough3. Same as above, what package is this kamikaze karaoke cut from TV Offel resung from?
TV Offel- Kamikaze KaraokeLook forward to your responces!
Cheers, Rob.February 7, 2004 at 7:54 pm #12947BigdaveAnswers are…
1/ The sing is “In Buffalo” . According to Mike Powell, who was PD at Pirate when the cuts were ordered , it was an error on behalf of the mixdown engineer who’d left a fader open whilst mixing the masters. Although it never made it to air , the cut was sent to Pirate anyway, and Alfasound put it on ALFA CD5 – the ILR packages …
2/ That’s from Readymix – originally done for WMXV in New York . The original cut is on AC ID’s 3
3/ It’s from Nothing But Class – originally done as a breakfast show cut for Don Imus. The cut was also resung for a number of other jocks on the station and appears in the Howard Stern movie “Private Parts”, as well as another cut from the same package .

Cheers mate! Quick too!
August 8, 2004 at 11:44 am #13747RjMI’ve been listning to the excellent TV Offel resings from JAM again!, and hope you can help me place this cut (last one, promise!) TV Offel’s honest obituary to it’s original demo. I’ve been going through loads of JAM classic demos and can find every other TVO cut exept this one.
The full set of TV Offel resings can be found on Cubwolfs site here:
http://www.cubwolf.co.uk/jingles.htmCheers in advance
August 8, 2004 at 11:58 am #13748RobinBlamiresThat comes from the #1 Voice package orginally sung for WMAL and is availible on News Talk Vol. 1 from JAM.
Hope this helps.
