Listening to Brian Moore this morning on Metro Radio (8th Aug 2011) and realised Brian was playing NEW jingles ! LenGroat
I still cannot upload audio to JM, I`ve put the Metro montage on SoundCloud….
http://snd.sc/nb3WdkSame here ~ I pointed this out 10 days ago but clearly no one from JM has read my post. So, I gave up trying to post pics and audio on the 'Jingle Tales' topic ~ a pity.

Ditto: Seems like this site is run as a "hobby." No one seems serious about it.
August 8, 2011 at 12:58 pm #79958GrahamCollinsMe too – not worth bothering to try and upload anything to this site at the moment……..
August 8, 2011 at 7:57 pm #79961rakMemberThanks for airchecking those, David. I like what I've heard so far. Interesting that they've revamped the sonic logo after just one package. Presume they're Wisebuddah?
As far as the site goes, the folks running the site probably do have full time jobs, other commitments, and may even be on holiday – it's August!
Soundcloud is perfectly good for uploads.
Perhaps the site needs to be simplified, with just a few core forum areas – say CLASSIC, CURRENT, SOUNDCLOUD, GENERAL STUFF and NEEDS/WANTS?
August 9, 2011 at 12:43 pm #79967ah-mediaMemberI would assume WB but not so sure… If it is then it's a custom and has a very different sound to current stuff. Was thinking it could be JonesTM…

No problem rak, it`s been a loooooooooooooong time since I jingle airchecked a British station and it`s been good fun to do, just so happened to be my local commercial radio station. I`m liking the Metro Radio jingles so far too, only criticism to date is the "Top 10 @ 10" jingle, I`ve only heard one cut aired so far, which makes it a bit repetitive for the DJ on-the-air and the listener, whereas, I think the other package had three "Top 10 @ 10" jingles. The travel jingle "Flying Eye" works well but the traffic helicopter is called "Starburst One" which they still refer to on-air. When Tony Horne was on breakfast (Horne left about three weeks ago) Wise Buddah had recorded a set of personalised jingles for Tony Horne, haven`t heard any for Brian Moore yet, in fact, I haven`t heard any "breakfast" jingles at all, Brian has used the talk-up ramp jingles which don`t mention the breakfast show. To be honest, I`m not sure if these "new" Metro jingles are Wise Buddah ? – ah media made the comment about a "different sound" to the usual Wise Buddah. I have emailed Paul at WB but he`s on holiday at the moment. BTW Metro have revamped their liners/sweepers too, it`s the same voice-guy as the last three years (not sure of his name) which is refreshing too, the other liners/sweepers were getting too repetitive.
August 10, 2011 at 3:35 pm #79977BarrasWell, it`s official, they are not from Wise Buddah, just had an email from Hannah at WB…
ah-media reckons "Jones TM" and I tend to agree with that.
Any other ideas guys ?
August 10, 2011 at 8:21 pm #79980mbMemberCould it be a second commission for Ignite as they did the Cool FM jingles, They sound potentially related and a similarity in tightness of vocals.
August 13, 2011 at 8:47 pm #79995Barrasa second commission for Ignite as they did the Cool FM jingles
Just found out officially that they`re not from Ignite either, another collector has suggested Pure Tonic ?
August 17, 2011 at 3:58 pm #80052roymartinHi guys
Tom is correct – this site is run as a hobby – it costs money rather than makes money so any problems which arise are looked at when I have time. And as my daughter is only 11 days old, she's been taking priority these last couple of weeks.
If there are any Invision Boards experts with more free time on their hands, feel free to email me directly via this site.
I did read the problems but without any more details of when the problem is happening, I can't fix it. I can upload audio – so can someone who can't upload please let me know any error messages you get and at which stage.
Thanks
RoyAugust 17, 2011 at 7:57 pm #80054IainJohnstonMemberRoy…I do apologise (and I'm sure a few more of us should too!) – didn't realise that there was a "new arrival"! Congratulations!
Error mesage on uploads…
I HAVe just noticed that the "Used x of your global upload quota of 500K (Max. single filesize: 500Mb)" is now showing
"Used 0bytes of your 48.83MB global upload quota (Max. single file size: 48.83MB)"Strange numbers, but if you/someone has been having a go at tweaking this afternoon/evening, then its certainly changed something!
A test upload…
(…now detached OK by IJ – see next Post)August 17, 2011 at 8:05 pm #80055IainJohnstonMember…and the 4.22 Mb MP3 file worked fine (upload green-ticked, "add to Post" successful, playout, and so did the subsequent after-submit "delete", which reset the counter back to 0 from 4.22 of the quota).
Whatever line of code or whatever "field" the "48.83 Mb" number is contained within seems to be a good place to be looking at!

Are you sure Stephen ?
If you listen to Contraband`s audio examples on their website, there are no "sung jingles" just liner branding…
September 13, 2011 at 8:03 pm #80374BarrasHeard an electronic voice jingle today, segued between two songs, simply saying "Metro Radio". It wasn`t a sonovox jingle, more like the Peter Frampton guitar/voice-box sound (showing my age now by mentioning Peter Frampton !)
BTW still uncertain who has produced the new package of Metro Radio jingles ? is it Contraband or another company ?
