Hi guys,

On the BBC Commissioning site, there is a chance to bid to produce new Newsbeat imaging. It will start airing in September.

I'm wondering what it will sound like, in my opinion, Newsbeat's imaging has always been good.

It'll be interesting to see whether the imaging changes significantly; it's been a similar sort of sound for a while now.

Dare we hope for some kind of sung element? I'm not exactly expecting a 7-voice group singing “Radio 1… News!”, and I don't mind the current sound (which is certainly miles better than anything Five Live or 6 Music have for their news)… but something would be nice.

I'm nearly 100 % sure it was Pure Tonic Media.

Can't say I'm impressed with their stuff, although clicking round a bit I did like the Go Compare/Radio Aire parody.

Surprised the new Newsbeat imaging hasn't made it to air yet. The station had second thoughts about it, perhaps? Otherwise, why didn't they launch it in the new year?
