Hard to believe it's been nearly 5 years since the fantastic JAM Country Proud package was released, but KFKF, Kansas City has replaced it with a resing of Reelworld WYCD Detroit.
I captured these cuts off of a less-than-stellar stream tonight.

April 29, 2010 at 5:16 pm #73711ratnobMemberWhat goes around comes around … and all that. To my ears big stations diminish themselves when they go for an existing ReelWorld package: they sound just like any neighbourhood radio station. But times are hard, and PDs change, and JAM's doing interesting stuff elsewhere in lots of major markets, so I guess we should just be pleased that stations are still seeing that jingles are important in identifying a station, irrespective of who makes them.

Sorry that I made my rant here, folks!
April 30, 2010 at 1:30 pm #73723bobgreenradioMemberok. up til here, i was unaware of reelworld. so i listened. i listened to lots of their stuff. they get it. they know what a jingle is all about, unlike those 'jellymills' out there.
so the switch HAS to be a plus to the stations air product.

May 1, 2010 at 1:16 pm #73746jr2479Definitely a disappointment to hear the JAM stuff go- much better then these RW resings. They were barely using the JAM cuts towards the end though.
May 20, 2010 at 12:38 am #74022mumossStrangly, the Country Proud package had passed me by until recently. Only just gave it a listen.
It's BRILLIANT. One of the strongest audio logos I've heard. And would work perfectly for a podcast I'm planning, if I could scrape together the money for a couple of cuts…
