Aye sure – as someone who got “extremely poor service” to be polite about it, from Jingles Factory with my prize and its implementation (and knowing someone else who got similar “forgetfull” treatment), I'm sorry to say it but I'd personally prefer to politely decline anything from them in future, and instead save-up my hard-earned bawbees to instead actually buy something from JAM or TM, both of whom fully understand “quality service”.

Sorry, harsh words – but based upon reality.

(PS – David, I will be neither upset, embarrassed, nor offended should you wish to delete this Post)

so kind….one more time, our apologies about long delay, but…..
delay and”forgetfull” are one thing, quality is another thing.
About Jam and TM, all we know they are the very best!!!!

I can only sing the praises of Jingles Factory and Loris for their prompt service and total creativity and understanding of my requirements when ordering jingles through them, for both personal jingles and station jingles

I can understand your frustration that you suffered Wixy – but even JAM and TM have lapses in the customer service department from time to time – all businesses do.

In fact, the biggest supporter of The Jingle Network, Ben Freedman screwed up our last contest we did with him and only now am I picking up the peices of that one -but I dont hold it against him because I know how busy he is/was

And now Jingles Factory . . . they send us free jingles for use on our podcasts and I have never had any problems with them. Plus the stations I know that use them, love the product. I'm not saying that because they sponsor me, I'm saying it because it is true . . . .

To be fair to Loris I know that he knows that he has a problem with the “consistency” of certain aspects of JF's “quality of customer service” and some features of actual production quality. I'm sure that he does try to address these issues.

I won't go further into these matters here – I will simply say that Smiffy69's JF experience would be in sharp contrast to that of some others.

Everybody can “have a bad hair day” – like David I've also had “duds” from producers who “should have done better” – that includes KenR (TC described the offending cut as a “train wreck”), or Ben Freedman's bizarre decision to give my simple short sonovox order a major re-do in a “Brigadoon”-style fake Scottish accent (was actually very funny in parts, Ken Justiss DID give it his all, but not “what the client requested”!). Certain “major” jingle companies of course also get severally slagged-off on these (and other) forums.

JF HAVE done some excellent work – their first weather cut for Radio Scilly is one of the most atmospheric items I have ever heard. Excellent. But JF need to be “excellent” with every customer, whether its a paying customer or someone winning their services as a prize. The goods should be “marketable quality” regardless. That applies just as much to e.g. a Ford (or indeed Fiat) car offered by a supermarket as a prize, or a free jingle re-sing.

So I hope that Loris will understand that my comments are offered as “constructive customer feedback”.
                :^)

                  Jingles Factory – my experience……
A fellow JM'er won 2 JF re-sings in 2008 and very kindly donated one to me. I duly sent off my requirements to Loris in January 2009. After several chasers, various excuses and unfulfilled delivery promises, I eventually received my jingle in January 2010. Loris also sent me a couple of free holiday jingles, by way of apology for the delay, which was a nice surprise. The holiday jingles were quite good – in fact much better than my re-sing! This had some problems, including the sound quality (studio background noise – like the hum of an air conditioning unit) and a heavy Italian accent on the lyrics, which really didn't work at all! I asked for these issues to be addressed with a further re-sing but, two months on, I have had no response.
This is a pity because I like JF's work and my cut had potential, but so far, my experience would not encourage me to become a paying customer.
I pass on this information in the hope that Loris can address these issues in the future, so that other customers don't have problems, and so that JF can achieve consistently positive reviews as a top jingle producer within the industry and get the recognition that their products deserve.

Oh dear it's such a shame when things go wrong, especially with jingles. I don't think anyone can equal the Dallas companies as I suppose thats the sound that were used to, what with growing up with Radio 1's JAM jingles, etc.

If anything, I'm sure that Fabio and the JF crew will take this as a challenge to produce something outstanding and for the lucky winners!
