Hi JM'ers, i just wanted to share what i stumbled upon on the tophour site! I found a resing of the “oldies radio” from Tony Griffin from WSEN in Syracuse New York, and WWMY Raleigh! I need help on WWMY. I can tell this is a Tony Griffin: correct me if wrong. Just wanted to know what package this is from.

By the way, I can't place the end sing for WWMY, but that might be from Super Hits 2…The instrumental bed for WWMY was not Tony Griffin, but from TM Century. Don't know the package, though.
Also, WSEN-AM was a simulcast station of WFEL(sung in this ID). It is definitely “Oldies Radio”!!!
September 25, 2009 at 1:14 am #70175topcatActually, the WWMY jingle is from Tony Griffin Productions… not TM Century. It's either Super Hits: Next Generation or Super Hits IV. The station purchased cuts from both packages, but I don't have the references handy to dig through (they're boxed up). The demos for both packages are posted at http://www.tonygriffinproductions.com/demos.htm

September 29, 2009 at 1:39 am #70262tyty21tracy, i'm thinking of setting skype back up, any chance when i do that i can add you as a contact? and just a question, if you can remember, could you montage cut 2 of the identifiers demo of tony griffin. that first cut in the Y102.9 demmo? i was just wondering how many resings of that cut were there! I think, and correct me if i'm wrong, WJMK chicago had that cut. i know for sure that they had the second cut that was on the WWMY demmo, the slow shotgun.

I don't have time to put together a TGP montage right now, since the references are mostly on CDs.
For your reference……….

September 29, 2009 at 3:42 am #70264tyty21Wow, thanks a lot! where'd you get that! i'd like to get the top of hour cut from super hits 1! that's the first cut i heard when i started back to jingle collecting! seriously, the jingles here in los angeles weren't cuttin it, that's when i stopped. that is, until i went to chicago and heard that toh plus the cuts 2 and 3 from identifiers. however, i think it was rare but i heard cut 1 from identifiers as well. plus that trumpet progression from cut 5 used in other super hits jingles. if i only had the tapes to prove it! plus, to diana, i was in ohio last year this month on the 10th, as a stopover in Cleveland, on the way to norfolk, Va and didn't have the radio with me so i can record WMJI! Doh! and if i had known you since the 90's, well i'll send you an e-mail of that story and this one.

I'm in the middle of copying them onto a hard drive and it was (fortunately) literally at my finger tips.
So many jingle CDs…. so little time! (chuckle) Glad you enjoyed it. My brother had a couple of personal cuts that he liked sung by TGP also.

September 29, 2009 at 4:37 pm #70282dogman849The Y102.9 jingle has two jingle companies in one! The first part (talkover bed) is from the latest WOMC package from TM Studios. The last part is from Tony Griffin.
Also, the first jingle presented is from the “Oldies Radio” package, from TG.
September 29, 2009 at 4:54 pm #70283tyty21could you post the latest TM WOMC jingle demmo here?

I was wondering about that talkover bed in the first part of the Y 102.9 jingle. Thanks for clearing this up!
