It's been 19 years since Jam has released a news/talk package for WLS. But at long last, they have axed the 1990 “Talk Action” package in favor of a new sound for the station. Is there any audio available for this package (it's not on the website)?

There was a thread about this a little while back, with some off-air clips.

Actually, they only used the Talk Action legal ID and the bulletin sounder (which they used for weather) At least they're using this new one all the way… other than the old AT40 jingle out of the top of the hour newscast.

I just found out about this when I first signed in to JingleMad this week. I heard a couple of cuts from that package while listening to WLS late at night…

Good set of jingles for WLS's NewsTalk format!

I emailed Jon Wolfert last month about the “new” WLS jingles and Jon kindly replied saying they`re from a “custom” package for WLS – the package isn`t finished yet and at this point in time, doesn`t have a name either…

Credit goes to someone else who posted these “new” WLS cuts on Jinglemad – just thought I`d post them again to give an example of what I was talking about in the previous post – re: email from Jon Wolfert…

I love these cuts – they jump out of the radio.
