Hi,
I'm not sure if this has been posted already, but while listening to WLS AM's web stream this afternoon, I heard some new jingles, possibly from JAM, but I'm not sure. I remember hearing the top of hour cut from their “Talk Action” package a couple months or so ago, so I'm assuming they've got a new package. Anyway, here's a montage I put together of the jingles recorded off-air. I must admit, I like the top of hour cut, though I remember hearing the last cut on an old demo for “Casey Kasem's American Top 40” that I got somewhere. Still, what I heard I like.
Thanks.Yours Sincerely,
Kelly John Sapergiahttp://jinglemad.com/e107_files/public/1239073483_1124_FT0_04-06-2009_wls_am_montage.mp3 filename:04-06-2009_wls_am_montage.mp3

April 7, 2009 at 1:34 pm #66201SeanMartinYeah thanks. As long as I've known jingles, I've known WLS – they've always gone together – and since the very beginning (starting to sound like a JAM demo narrative now) JAM and WLS seem to be inseparable.
Happy marriages DO exist!

April 9, 2009 at 1:20 am #66228BarrasThanks for posting the JAM aircheck Kelly,
apparently, these cuts are from a “new” JAM package that isn`t finished and doesn`t have a package name yet either !
As ever, superb jingles from Jon & JAM and I love Sean`s “happy marriage” comment, pleased to say no sign of any divorce there !
April 9, 2009 at 3:09 pm #66235MarkajPaxtonso where does the last cut come into it? It has that distinct mid 80's 5 voice vocal sound to it.
April 9, 2009 at 11:41 pm #66240StarbrelzMemberThe last cut was one of 4 Casey Kasem cuts from the Old American Top 40. Jam offered affiliates a short package. They were the same jingles sung as “American Top 40” in the show. Circa 1984. Back when the show was sent out on 33 RPM vinyl.

The Spring 2004 LBC Package had a few including Nick Bigot at Breakfast, Clive Bull, Summertime. Gradually they fell out of use and the most used was the Nick Ferrari but they dropped the sung LBC at the end and just had the logo. They also has a cut with the slogan tuned in London from the Spring 2003 package.I have to say that the Iain Lee cuts IQ Beats are some of my all time favourite cuts and they should put them back on thier website. Far better than the package currently in use.
