      Hi,

Does anyone know who has produced the new package for BBC Sussex/BBC Surrey, which launched last Monday?

      Thanks

I don't know who made them, but I've just been reading The Buzz on their website: http://www.bbc.co.uk/southerncounties/local_radio/the_buzz_newsletter.shtml

It does mention the jingles on it. Below is what they say about the jingles:

To go with our name we have a brand new sound to what we do.

There will be new jingles and musical beds for all parts of our output and from the end of April you'll hear catchy new sung jingles to support what we do – imagine “BBC Surrey” sung!

And brilliantly, we have two new voices for this work, Sussex girl Sara Mendes Da Costa and Nigel Williams from Surrey.

          Hello!

Following on then, does anyone know where to find clips of BBC Sussex jingles?

          thanks!

            Hi,

The new Sussex/Surrey package was produced by Wicked Music Production (Lee Turner & James Drew).

I wrote a note from Lee on the main BBC discussion: http://jinglemad.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?75978.120

            Enjoy your day,

            Simon

              Hi,

Thanks for the information. Do you know if there are sound clips of the jingles available on the Wicked Music Production website?, or elsewhere?

              Thanks!

You'll have to be quick the station's about to start airing the network package instead. The sung stuff's lasted less than a year.

You can hear a couple of the jingles in their BBC Surrey variant on YouTube. Just go to youtube.com and type in 'BBC Surrey jingles'. It comes up at the top as BBC Radio Surrey jingles (it should say BBC Surrey!). All there is is a bit of that one with the electric guitar and the opening and closing of travel (sung).
