If anyone looks up montages on YouTube – I would like to point out that “tartanbaws” steals montages that are made by others – ie ME! and passes them off as his own.

I can work out they are mine by some of the jingles and TAGS i put at end.

for example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XENsZgy_As

it has karen dunbar saying “right thats me finished for the night”

I am going to start tagging things more carefully from now on.

Just a head up so that anyone else can do the same.

to be fair,on the page you linked to,he hasn't actually said he did it-it could have been sent to him be someone else who had it sent to them,and he liked it so much he shared it again via youtube.
but i know what you mean after stuff you do turning up elsewhere.
anyway,i've posted a question for him to see what his reply will be.hopefully he'll come clean.

A number of JM'ers have contacted me recently regarding “Tartanbaws” and his YouTube posts.

While some of his posts may well perhaps be “original”, some are very clearly indeed not.

I will point out that he very obviously visits this Forum, and he has contacted me directly
with some interesting points about the topic.

One of the fundamentals of Jingle Etiquette is NOT to directly “lift” other people's efforts
and pass it off as one's own. We are fortunate enough to be given the nod to play with all this
stuff as it is, without a barrage of writs if anyone oversteps the line.

So, EVERYBODY – please remember – “Don't kill the Golden Goose” – OK? Thanks

Over the years people have asked me why I tag the montages I post on Jinglemad. This is one of the reasons!

Well you guys could talk over the end or the donut part of the jingle.
For example on the Jam DIA TOH you put this was posted by WIXY at the beginning of the jingle. Or talk over k in 'York'.

Doesn`t matter whether you tag, watermark etc…people can still “lift” montaged material, for example, have a read of the 10th post here…
