I noticed from Gary Berkowitz's site that he's consulting at Q92.9. It's using much of the “Fresh” format he created in New York but with different jingles. The station is in the logo part of the JAM site. Anyone recognise them or are they new?

Here's a scoped aircheck recorded this morning. Sorry about the quality at the start – it gets better.

Thanks for ponting this out Ratnob – sounds like a “custom” to me…as ever, JAM produce more top-notch jingles.

Thanks for that. Good to hear some fresh JAM jingles.

The station is at http://asx.abacast.com/steelcity-wltjstream-64.asx for anyone who wants to have a listen.

That's not a custom'. That's a resing of “Nice Moov” originally created for WNIC Detroit back in July 2005.

Never heard of it, and it's not on the JAM site. Thanks for the info, Cody. That also explains the Gary B link – he was of course PD at WNIC.

The version with the weather bed is on WFPG in Atlantic city, NJ.

Here's what Gary Berkowitz says about the jingles:

Yes, they are Jam. Jon did them a few months back for Pittsburgh. I also have them on WLTE in Minneapolis. It's a nice little package that allows the jock to have a presence, but limited to the bed lengths. Kind of like Fresh, but with a group vocal and a bit more energy.

More stations will get the Nice Moove package over the up and coming months.

The package has 28 cuts with a Weather cut WFPG version , Top of hour cut all versions , Promo cut WLTE version etc.

Hi Cody, do you have the demo for the Nice Moove package?

Here are 4 cuts from the JAM custom for Q92.9, Pittsburgh – 2 ramps, a transition and a top of the hour. The more I hear them, the more I like them.

I like these. They remind me of the Fresh package, but with “Dallas sound” vocals.

Absolutely – they've got that nice “Fresh” sense of style and understatement. They allow the jock to have a presence whilst branding the station in every link.

I've been listening to these Q92.9 customs quite a bit lately, and I really like them. The solo or shout repeat “Q” makes them a little different. Hopefully a full JAM demo won't be too far away.

The jingles on Q92.9 are a custom package which we did for them earlier this year. It has nothing whatever to do with “Nice Move”, which was done for WNIC in 2005.

WLTE is using a slightly different version of the same custom package. We actually recorded two versions of each jingle at the same time, to better accomodate different logo phrasings. Pittsburgh sings “Q — 92.9” whereas Minneapolis sings “102.9 Lite — FM”.

At this moment, the package does not have an official name or a final demo. When it does, it will appear on our site.

Aha – the proverbial horse's mouth. Thanks for clarifying, Mr W.

I've never heard of Nice Move.

Interesting that none of the WLTE versions made it into the demo now it's seen the light of day, seeing as the tracks are slightly different.

I don't suppose anyone has a montage of examples from WLTE?
