I've heard in the last few days an image song sent by another member for CJJR Vancouver. I wonder if the singer is Ronnie Milsap and I also found that he seems not so comfortable with the singing compare to the initial package Freedom created for another radio station (I cannot remember which one exactly).
And there is almost no reverb in that cut while in the first one that I heard in the past, from a Demo CD (by TM), it was a lot more vibrant in the overall final mix. Bizarre… …

September 23, 2008 at 4:23 pm #62167GlennaMemberI think the demo is still on the TM STUDIO DRAGONFLY website.
Orginal for KMPS Seattle.September 23, 2008 at 4:26 pm #62168nostalgieThanks Beaver!
Have you heard the cut for KMPS? What do you think? It doesn't sound as good for CJJR…
September 23, 2008 at 7:41 pm #62175GlennaMemberI've heard 2 or 3 versions of it.
To me I like both of them.
I think that it could be used for a tourism campaign and station image song.
The reason it could different the Names Seattle and Vancouver.
There is more syllables in Vancouver so you have to lengthen the song or leave a second gap at the beginning of the name Seattle. The example of it is Bull hits. The WBUL sound different from ECHO COUNTRY. Actually I had a radio exec tell one time that he thought it was eaisier to do jingles if you had a W instead of a K named station.
I hope answered your question. And hope I didn't bore you to death.
P.S. Its not Ronnie doing the vocal.September 23, 2008 at 8:21 pm #62177nostalgieThanks Beaver. It was great actually! I felt like having more fun than I usually do at the University.
(I am currently doing a BA in Translation after several years in broadcasting… What a change!)September 23, 2008 at 8:47 pm #62178GlennaMemberI worked at KRKT in Albany Oregon and I always liked the WBAP demo [ Which I posted earlier} version of Super Country than the KRKT Oregon Country remix.
The tracks sound better too.September 23, 2008 at 8:49 pm #62179GlennaMemberI wish I could a hold of the CKWX version of Super Country from yrs ago.
