Here's a folder with all of the JAM jingles I've recorded on XM. The channel 83, Chrome one is just a bed with no vocals, but it sounds like JAM to me. I'm sure someone can verify it for sure.

August 26, 2008 at 10:32 pm #61500nostalgieVery nice! Thanks for sharing these precious cuts from 2006. I especially liked the package HOLIDAY TRADITIONS. Great sound!

August 27, 2008 at 7:59 pm #61529RjMA great selection of JAM jingles in use there, thanks for recording them. I particularly like the “80's on 8” and “90's on 9” cuts. The Chrome cut is JAM, it's Pro Mod cut #10.
November 12, 2008 at 2:09 am #63321jlehmannHere's some jingles I recorded last night on Chrome, XM83. This channel is going away tomorrow as part of the merger with Sirius. I'm wondering what's going to happen to the jingles on 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9. Hopefully JAM has been busy making re-sings of those. The Holly Christmas channel isn't going to be on channel 103 again this year, so again, hopefully they got some new stuff from JAM!
These Chrome ones sound like they're from the New York's Jammin Oldies package.

November 12, 2008 at 1:57 pm #63338BarrasThey sound great ! – many thanks for posting those resings jlehmann, they`re from JAM`s Dance To The Music (1979) package – resung for New York`s Jammin Oldies too.
If you have time to “jingle-aircheck” some more, it would be appreciated…thanks.

Unfortunately I won't be able to get any more from Chrome 83, because the channel went off the air today. The Decades channels are still using the same jingles, just without the XM part. Some of the ones I've heard on the 70s channel have been resung with “Sirus XM,” but the other channels just seem to be using them with the “XM” mention left out.
November 13, 2008 at 1:36 am #63364jlehmannGood News! Sirius XM did have the jingles for the Christmas music channel Holly resung with mention of “Sirius XM” and no mention of the channel number, since it's on XM 35 and Sirius 81.

November 13, 2008 at 3:25 am #63366mjb1124MemberI hope 60s on 6 gets resings soon. These edits aren't doing it for me.

Good work there Jeff, thanks for jingle-airchecking those JAM cuts. Not often you hear the word “nation” in the lyrics of an American radio station jingle – in the UK we had a jingle from the 1976 JAM composite package for Radio One that sang “the station of the nation…Radio One”.
When you have time Jeff, any chance you could list which Sirius channels are using JAM jingles ?
Thanks,
Barras
November 13, 2008 at 6:45 am #63368Maya53Should we declare JAM “The official jingle company for XM Radio”?
November 13, 2008 at 3:34 pm #63385GlennaMemberYES!!!!
November 13, 2008 at 5:06 pm #63386tcruise3MemberXM's “The Hit List” which appears to be gone now was using a few PRO Choice cuts. The Blend (XM 25) has been using Breakthrough. They used cut #23 edited as their top of the hour. I haven't recorded them but I certainly hear them all the time.
November 13, 2008 at 10:14 pm #63397JAM / PAMSMemberShould we declare JAM “The official jingle company for XM Radio”?
JAM has been “the official jingle company for XM” since the day it began in 2001. In fact, we started working with Lee Abrams in 2000, before the satellites had even been launched. XM has been a great customer, fun to work with, and I am very proud of the work we've done for them.
Here is the list of XM channels that we have made JAM and/or PAMS jingles for during the past 7 years. I've included everything, including the channels that XM dumped a while ago, and the ones which just disappeared yesterday due to the merger:
50s on 5
60s on 6
70s on 7
80s on 8
90s on 9
XMU
XM Unsigned
XM Kids
XM Up Yours (comedy)
Special X
The Blend
Chrome
Soul Street
Holly
Holiday Traditions
The Heart
The Hit ListThese are all national channels, so our British friends can think of this as having 17 “Radio 1's” to work with.
We have also done JAM and PAMS jingles for Sirius, going back to 2003. At the moment, many of the jingles on Sirius-XM have been editted by them to remove the phrase “XM Radio”. There are plans to re-sing many of the cuts in the near future. The two holiday channels (Holly and Holiday Traditions) do already have re-sings.
November 13, 2008 at 10:28 pm #63399BarrasThanks for that Jon.
Can I be bold and request an early Christmas present for us guys in the UK – any chance of a montage/sampler of some cuts from any of those XM stations – please !

November 14, 2008 at 1:05 am #63407jlehmannThanks Jon for the info on which channels have used JAM. I wish I had known about those others before the big switch the other day, oh well. The only ones I had known about were all the decades channels and Chrome.
Here's one I just recorded on The Blend.

November 14, 2008 at 1:37 am #63408jlehmannI just went through a 3 hour recording that I made a couple day before the merger. Wow, 50s on 5 was LOADED, and I'll have to check to see if it still is, minus the “XM” mentions. I edited these down fast, so sorry if there's any duplicates.

Which one of the channels uses the Turbo Z resings?

I think the 80s on 8 may have used some Turbo Z in the past, possibly the top of hour. They are currently using the TOH from Skywave. Fortunately this one was able to stay the same before and after the merger.

Can I be bold and request an early Christmas present…please!”This has to be the FIRST time I've ever heard David Barras down on his knees BEGGING for some rare audio!
But I'll have to Second that request too Jon!

WQAM away back in 1971?)November 14, 2008 at 11:26 am #63425BarrasCareful Iain “down on his knees” will mean something else in the USA ! – I admit though, I have the begging bowl out as I`m really enjoying the cuts that Jeff Lehmann has posted so far and I wasn`t aware that Jon/JAM had recorded packages for those 17 stations.

November 14, 2008 at 12:16 pm #63427IainJohnstonMember“Careful…”down on his knees” will mean something else in the USA”
Whoops – right – er, yes – sorry! – along with the UK's “rubbers” (“erasers” for erasing pencil
marks/writing), and “ginger nuts” (a popular crunchy tea-time biscuit in Scotland, but which
caused McVities all kinds of problems when they tried to sell them in the States!), and we'd
better not mention a kind of northern English savoury meatball which has very dodgy
connotations in the US – “separated by a common language” as they say…Apart from that, good to see JAM getting a “bulk order” for traditional re-sings in these days
of 8 near-identical “theme” jingles being sung once then each edited 50 different ways …November 15, 2008 at 5:10 am #63461mjb1124MemberAs a college radio DJ, I'm intrigued that XMU had (has?) jingles. I'd be really interested in hearing them.
November 17, 2008 at 2:24 am #63526jlehmannJust caught this on Sirius XM Love, channel 23. I'm guessing that it must've been sung as “The Heart” so it wasn't usable with the vocals with the channel name change.
