Meanwhile, a quick cold shower, and back on topic…was the “night janitor” ad for a “B96”?
It was shown (somewhere) on UK TV some years back, and I think the character did a sort
of compressed montage of the sound of a day at the station including a JAM acapella.
He wandered in to the air studio, sweeping brush in hand, put on the headphones, did the
piece, then returned to his cleaning at the end.

Well remembered Iain and guess who has that TV promo on video !

If I can find it and that`s a BIG if becuase the promo is on one of my VHS radio/jingle tapes (40 + tapes) – I`ll upload it here for all to view. I know some of these American TV promos for radio stations are “dated” but i still love to see them, they`re all good fun and creative.

The “Night Janitor” spot was a syndicated spot, much like “Amazing Mouth” above. Both were in almost every major market in the US in the 80s.

PRO FM's version had the janitor lip syncing to a sonovox cut, which always cracked me up.

I was I night janitor during the week; and worked at KRKT AM-FM Albany Oregon on the weekends.
