Hi…doesn't matter. Any jingles with the frequency 92 in there. We have tons here in the states. Z-92..
92Q….Hot 92….and so on. I really don't need any with 'the point'…..92.7…..5, etc. Any generic jingles with 92. There was a 92Q in Nashville. I haven't found any of those. Thanks!

Nick, US (and Canadian etc) stations have call-letters, e.g. KTLK, WABC, CHUM, etc etc.

A lot of them nowadays adopt a shortened version, often with their frequency also rounded-down (or up),
e.g. WDRQ Detroit was “Q95”. It makes for more “trendy” names than fairly old-fashioned call-letters,
although those must still be identified along with City of Licence as near the top of an hour as possible
(used also to be at 1/2-past the hour, but the FCC seemed to have dropped that a few years back).

Technically, UK stations have a “call-sign” embedded in their licence somewhere (goes back to the 1920s
when the original British Broadcasting COMPANY started up with 5SC Glasgow, 2LO London etc.).

Would sound strange now if e.g. “Heart 106.2” was forced to ID as “G-MK3-BP2 – Your Better Music Mix
          or whatever!!!

          Aussie stations also still have call-letters, e.g 7HO 6KY 5DN 4BK 3KA 2UE on AM – the numeral denotes
which State – and FM's have an extra letter e.g. 2DAY-FM. 7 is Tasmania, 3 Victoria, etc etc

              To Wixy,

WDRQ was not Q95, it was WKQI. Not that it matters but since you busted Barras on the WCOL/WOCL mixup…

              All in fun! ;)

Yeah..I recall DRQ was all news-talk in the very beginning. Early 70s? Big Bill Bailey was there for a time.

Ooops! sorry Mike – the brain cells do go a bit as one gets older! Thanks for putting me right.

Can I absolve myself by saying that WDEE Detroit (The Big D) was 1500 kHz AM, and many years
ago had loads of excellent Heller jingles?!?

                      lol. I remember those, “Big D, W D E E, big D, W D E E…”

Back on subject, IQBeats has a country package for New 92 on their website.

While poking around I found some jingles for Tower 92. They are PAMS I believe. They’re from WTWR, a Detroit top 40 from the mid 70s. The cut at :55 is paired with a current JAM resing of the cut for Detroit’s Oldies 104.3.
