Hi there!
In answer to your question,Q102 is in Northern Ireland. You'll find more about the station on the link below.
The jingle was part of a package made by british producer Dave Langer, with what sounds like the Thompson Creative vocal group – click on the MP3 samples for more of the same.

Does DJ-Mark live in some kind of fantasy world between 'The Matrix' and 'Ground Hog Day' ?

MemberNow that is a voice over that should be on more stations! Been a huge fan of Marc Silk for years. Very under rated.
Now this is a VERY interesting package. Yes it is Wise Buddah but it's actually a co-production with JonesTM and I'm sure if we ask Chris Stevens very nicely he might provide us with some more info but if you go to the JonesTM website and click on the package called Amp'd then you get the custom demo for Q102 in the US.

I love this package it is the Q network package which was made for all the Q netwok stations including Q97.2fm, Q101.2fm, Q102.9FM. It really is a good package and Wise Buddah dont seem to have it on their site.
If you want any more examples of the jingles recorded off air then let me know but if any can help get this pacage please let me know.March 3, 2008 at 3:54 am #57074Devaweb

Hiya,
Just to make a quick correction to that statement, the package is 100% Wise Buddah's, although JonesTM syndicates it in some markets including the USA. The Q102 on the demo is KQIB, and it's since been sung for some other US stations.
Cheers,
Chris

thanks for this clarification chris. and indeed the ampd package was intended for KQIB and not for WIOQ in Philly. it's kind of confusing though on the first time because the logo used for the ampd package on JonesTM.com was exactly the same logo on Q102.COM (WIOQ FM) ?!?
