Exeter FM launched this morning with shiney new resings of Contemporary Cuts from Wise Buddah, although the news/weather/traffic beds sound like they may be custom. I've attached a montage recorded from their webstream for your listening pleasure.

I've not liked the (admittedly limited) Wise Buddah stuff that I've heard before, but I actually quite like that. Especially the cut at 1:19.

Makes a change from bloody Gemini, at least…

          Thanks for sharing that mattii

It's always good to hear re-sings of contemporary cuts. I wasn't impressed with the “off the shelf” package at first, however it's grown on me over the last 2 years since 96.3 Radio Aire had some of the cuts re-sung.

No two re-sings sound alike. I think the vocals on the Exeter sings are much lighter.. probably better sounding for the type of sation.

The cut at 1:19 is the “Hour Opener – Full” – it`s my favourite jingle from Wise Buddah, thought you might like to hear the resing of that jingle for Cheshire FM

I totally agree, after hearing the Aire and BFBS cuts they work to add a tweak each time. I kinda like the package now :)

                Thanks for the montage Matt!

New jingles are on the way from WB to Aire too… they've just commissioned six new ID’s to add to their current package.

And Wise Buddah are behind the new Hit 40UK beds and stagers too. They've had a busy start to 2008.

Have to say I am quite a big fan of the Wise Buddah stuff. I do like the BFBS Radio 2 cuts and the Amp'd pack with JonesTM. Really like the Exeter stuff there.

Can see why people may not be such fans as they're not as complex as some other companies but they're a great company and I look forward to see what the rest of 2008 holds!
