Just recently, Sunny 95, WSNY in Columbus has started airing their new jingle package. If anyone has any idea who did these, let me know. I am fearing that they might be using their Jones TM resing of their popular AC package and I am never a fan of their AC packages. Reasons I do not like any of their AC packages is because their vocals are irritating and very ear-shattering and does not belong to such a format because the format is evolving. I also hope they are not using Zone imaging either because their vocals sound HORRIBLE!. I would stop listening to them if they use any of the packages above.
I am a huge fan of ReelWorld and I can very well tolerate most of their jingles, so I would expect to be using the WLIT resing; they previously used the WSNI 2004 package. I also hope that they either could be using the new LiteHouse Studios package as well because they almost sounded like Reelworlds and very well fit with the format.
Here's the link to the WSNY stream. You can paste this to Windows Media Player or Winamp if you choose:

December 29, 2007 at 4:14 am #55277coolntWSNY is ReelWorld's new Sunny AC project for 2008. It's one of at least four new packages out for the first few months of 2008 from ReelWorld.

Sunny 95 has returned to us for the “Fresh 2007” package which we originally created for Fresh 102.7 (WWFS) New York. The package is also on the air in Chicago, and several other markets.

December 29, 2007 at 11:22 am #55285IainJohnstonMemberAre we seeing some “green shoots” of past-customer stations starting to return to JAM after years of “going elsewehere”?
Would be good to see a resurgence of JAM in 2008!

December 30, 2007 at 12:10 am #55297bulger23I'm with you Jeff. Everyone's entitled to their opinions, but delivery means alot. Could have been a bit more tactful. Today's music is constantly evolving and I give Jon and the team credit for trying to keep up with it. Tough job. If anyone knows AC jingles, it's JAM.

THE NUMBER ONE CHOICE IS JAM.
Unless you like the same hot looking soloist { seems like} on every cut!!!!!!!!!!December 30, 2007 at 5:26 am #55303JingleMadMemberKBAYFreak wrote: you have got to be kidding me!!! Jam is not for todays AC, its Reelworld or Zone but NOT JAM they are WAY TOO SLEEPY for 2008 sorry but this sucks
You appear to have something against JAM. I think the fact that more stations are returning shows something don't ya think? As a previous poster said, music is evolving all the time. I agree that the past few years have been quiet for JAM customs but my prediction is that 2008 will be a good year for JAM.

December 30, 2007 at 2:46 pm #55312ratnobMemberI assumed that the legendary Gary Berkowitz was consulting on the station (he was behind the original New York Fresh), but apparently he's not. To me, the jingles sound great but the presentation is lacklustre.

I've not heard too much of the package, and would like to hear more. Initially I had thought it would be exclusively for Fresh branded stations, therefore making a demo pointless.

I agree, not with the jingles sound sleepy, but I agree that 2008 will be a good year for JAM. A lot of radio stations flipping back to oldies formats. just like KDYL. and to get that authentic sound again for oldies and to infuse nostalgia for the popular format, radio stations will go to JAM for jingles.
By the way can someone post more sunny 95 jingles? maybe some off air montage will do.

Will there be a fresh demo? Who knows. Maybe Jon can give us the heads up on whether or not a fresh demo will go up on the site or being produced now.
March 8, 2008 at 6:17 am #57207dogman849If you want to hear another station which uses the Fresh 2007 package, listen to this: http://winmedia.voxcdn.net/3156-WMA-KAFE-32
This is KAFE 104.3 in Bellingham, WA. This station is heard throughout NW Washington and Southern British Columbia. It is a great station to listen to if you are heading north of Seattle off of I-5.

Really nice to hear the demo – I like it a lot.March 15, 2008 at 4:19 am #57516mjb1124MemberGood stuff! The whole “we don't play those tired old songs” bit still bugs me, but the jingles sound great.
