Considering Johnny Hopper wrote several of the Thompson Creative packages as well as some of the TM Century packages this is not surprising

Also the PD might have wanted them to sound like a previous package

WMIL's logo is one of my best loved country logos. The tracks however are very conventional.

WHY US STATIONS ARE NOW INTO EUROPEAN MADE JINGLES?

I suspect that Kerry Wolf is a big fan of Johnny Hoopers work

The new WMIL package was designed to be conventional. Kerry didn't want any zaps and sound fx on the cuts like other companies are doing at the moment with their Country packages. He wanted to bring out the country sounding instruments.

Also, all of the cuts had to be edit-a-ble to be 5 seconds and below because Clear Channel is laying down the law to have only quick shotgun type imaging.
