Rob T and I have been playing a little game today of Jam packages v Radio 1.
If you look at the Radio 1 1987 package thread that's been running the last couple of days, and look at the last few postings from Rob and I you will get the picture. Trouble was we were going off thread so decided to start a new thread. The bugger didn't tell me he was going off on his hols though. lolInto the music v Radio 1.
Bon voyage Rob.http://jinglemad.com/e107_files/public/1184946328_1010_FT0_into_the_music_v_radio_1.mp3 filename:1184946328_1010_FT0_into_the_music_v_radio_1.mp3

I can't find my copy, so if anyone has a clean copy, and wouldn't mind posting it, that would be great.http://jinglemad.com/e107_files/public/1184949842_1010_FT46006_hit_radio_v_radio_1.mp3 filename:1184949842_1010_FT46006_hit_radio_v_radio_1.mp3

July 21, 2007 at 10:24 am #31523IanMemberAuthorYou can tell I'm bored. I had a day off work yesterday and am home alone today cos the Mrs. is doing something at a fete.
But am not totally sad. Tonight I am going to the party in the park. Well o.k., it's not THE party in the park.
It's in Halstead in Essex, a small market town and they have got an Abba tribute band and a BeeGee tribute band playing tonight. You just turn up with beer and snacks and dance and sing along.
So there won't be any posts from me tonight guys.
But in the meantime, here is Warp factor v Radio 1http://jinglemad.com/e107_files/public/1185013449_1010_FT46006_warp_factor_v_radio_1.mp3 filename:1185013449_1010_FT46006_warp_factor_v_radio_1.mp3

July 28, 2007 at 10:21 pm #31637gameswizardMemberian,these comparision compilations you're uploading are excellent.many thanks.
July 29, 2007 at 10:33 am #31645IanMemberAuthoryou're welcome gameswizard. I am doing them for 2 reasons.
1) I grew up with radio 1 and am a huge fan of the Jam jingle era. (can't stand the station now)
2) As I have really only been collecting for about 3 years and 95% of my stuff is radio 1, I thought this was a good way of listening to lots of other jingle packages and educating myself on the subject.A few more to come yet by the way.

Which package did the 1980 “Radio 1 is fun, it's the station that's alive” jingles originally come from? Any chance you could do that?
August 2, 2007 at 5:23 pm #31756IanMemberAuthorI wish I knew John. I haven't found that anywhere.
Does anyone else know the answer to this one please?
