Has the new Capital imaging gone on air yet? I heard it was supposed to be Monday, but have heard no talk of it so far.
July 6, 2007 at 3:37 pm #31174JingleMad2005Have they got new jingles? Does anybody know who is supposed to have created them?
July 6, 2007 at 5:17 pm #31176mbMemberWise Buddah produced them.
Better than what they had and quite a nice strong three note logo means a more cohesive and a “sound” rather than the clippy voice overs they were living off.
Sounds like someone has actually though about the stations imaging !!!
However I am an old fart and still like my traditional jingles!!!
But thats not to say I don't think the new stuff is creative and interesting. !!!
July 6, 2007 at 9:58 pm #31182JingleMad2005Been listening this evening and have recorded a few from their live stream.
I quite like them, very catchy logo.
I've attached an example of what Capital are currently airing below.

Hi Paul. I guess after Capital's last re-launch they have lost so many listeners that in London, I simply do not know anyone that listeners to them anymore with Heart/ Magic / Kiss and others doing a much better JobCapital is an has been station that cares little about what is listeners think
However if you have got any imaging I would like to have a listen it could not be any worse than the dreadful liners or the 1 sec ” Capital” sung jingles from last time
Regards
Martin

What a Mess !!!
Yes I am sure everyone in London will be able to recall the new Jingles (Not)
I must say in the past I have heard some good work from Wise Buddah but the Capital ID's are hardly a good showcase for the company

July 6, 2007 at 11:06 pm #31185PaulThat montage doesn't do them justice… you can't tell one from the other. I quiet like them – something different atleast.
Here's the demo from WB – http://www.thejinglenetwork.com/share/capital958_07.mp3
July 6, 2007 at 11:20 pm #31186martinlesterMemberWell Time will tell if this set of Id's are going to make an impact on Londoners
I think I prefer the IQ Beats Heart package at least you can remember the tag line
also very strange to use the same Guy (sorry can't remember his name) thats already on loads of stations already including Heart to do the liners surley they could have used someone else that is not already used on its main competitor !
July 7, 2007 at 12:13 am #31187kcmikeFirst impressions…
Very energetic and upbeat.
Strong simple emphasized logo (that’s not a Kiss FM or Z100 3-noter!)
Great beat-beds to produce over or talk over.
These would sound great on any number of U.S. CHRs
So, they're not for the KOST crowd, it still sounds better than no jingles.
Thanks Chris for posting the first cuts, and to Paul for the demo.

July 7, 2007 at 6:19 am #31188MarcMannetjeVery modern, I like it for CHR! It keeps the pace and doesn't interfere with other music styles than the songs on the playlist.
The audio logo is very similar to ENERGY as JAM produced for NRJ in France, I think that's not as original as it seems, listen:

July 7, 2007 at 9:44 am #31191JingleMad2005Thanks for that monttage paul, your right my one didn't do them justice.
I think they'll sound great, very different to what Capital have had in the past. There very pacey and is just what a station like capital needs.
July 7, 2007 at 2:14 pm #31195mattii70To me it sounds like all they've done is fiddle around with the jingles from the last relaunch, not gonna be singing along to any of these jingles though. The news bed is already being used by Power FM in Southampton so maybe they've got the package resung already, or maybe they've just nabbed the new news bed on the cheap…
