      Here's a very short sound-a-like from The Beatles for a Dutch station…

        Good Time Oldie

Thanks Dave for the Adrian Baker Hallam jingles, I was beginning to think I had imagined them, I loved them, great stuff !

I also enjoyed the Pilot and Babs Dickson ones as well, not too keen on the Guys n Dolls and Alan Price ones though.

I guess they were done through Cardboard Shoes and his connections.

          Thanks again

Here are some sound-a-likes that originally were produced for Capital FM by Music4. I used them on a Modern AC station in the Netherlands about 5 years ago:

Emma Bunton – What Took You So Long
            Nelly Furtado – I'm Like A Bird
Toploader – Dancing In The Moonlight
            Gabrielle – Out Of Reach
            Travis – Sing

I really loved them. We also had a ton of general cuts, so they could be freshened or took off air whenever they reached the burn out factor.

A certain pair by the names of Chas Hodges and Dave Peacock did stuff for everyone from Radio Tees to the late Adrian Love. All of them were one song………..”Rabbit”

Mari Wilson did one during the Radio Trent/Leicester Sound era using the alternative version of “Just What I Always Wanted”.If I remember it went something like this.

“Its the show that gives you more
It's just what I've always wanted
The best of music with John Shaw
It's just what I've always wanted”

Naturally before that,as we all know she sung it for a few Radio 1 jocks using the original version of the song.

By the way with respect to the Radio Hallam Guys & Dolls stuff (Which having listened to it is as terrifying as Scoot in the Eurovision Song Contest).Therese Bazaar was in said group before she became the other half of Dollar.

                  Very nice Marc,very nice.

There's someone I forgot about.Carl Wayne of The Move, who sadly is no longer with us.

He contributed to the Hereward Radio 1984 package and also to the legendary UK onshore pirate station Radio Jackie. (I also believe Fiddlers Dram lead singer Jackie Challenor contributed to Radio Jackie too)
