I thought it was about time somebody posted a thread about this fabulous radio station. In all my days listening to radio have I evercome across a radio station that plays as many jingles as this. There is probably only one word that describes this , especially in todays environment and thats — UNIQUE. It calls its self 'Americas First Oldies Station ' and has been on air since 1963. The station broadcasts from Sag Harbour, on long Island – New York. The format is very community based and they play a LOT of commercials and one hell of a lot of long fogotten PAMS jingles. (after every record) In my opinion is this is what makes this station so charming. Give it a listen (remember the ads and messages are part of the format) they seem to be doing well in the 'listening on the www' side of things too. If you want to find out more about this station and its history, search the web. There are a few interesting sites dotted about. Anyway log onto:- http://www.wlng.com Long may it continue.

How bizarre! – that a Post about this should pop up as I unbox a copy of the
CD of the WLNG PAMS jingles to dub them for a well-known collector!

Synchronicity? Serendipity? or Conspiracy Theory! :)

I've posted a few examples of some WLNG resings in the download section.
