Many Thanks, for the reply. Just made me wonder as I seen it listed quite abit on jingle lists. Was it sung for any other stations at all.
Possibly Swansea Sound, or is this a totally different package?

MemberIt was resund for the FM Service of Swansea Sound – which has Swansea sound on AM and Sound Wave on FM.
Its the same package Swansea Sound ( AM ) had another package from Alfa.January 14, 2007 at 8:48 pm #28498MartinS
As Pete and Michael have already said, 'Alfawave' this does appear on one of the ALFA CDs (ALFA CD12) for 96.4 Soundwave (Swansea Sound FM), along with 'The Original' package for Swansea Sound (AM).
I'd always thought that Alfwave was originally produced for 96.4 Soundwave, rather than having been re-sung for them?
Interestingly, I noticed that the package demo appears on the Temple of Tune website, to which MarcMannetje posted a link the other day, under 'Top Format AC4' (http://www.temple.be/Jingles_Originals.htm for those that may not have seen that post). The demo on here does not have the introduction, as with the one I've just listened to on ALFA CD12, but just purely a list style montage of the cuts.
I always thought that the later ALFA custom stuff (e.g. Key 103 '97), and presumably Alfawave too, was unavailable for resing due to issues over copyright ownership following the dissolution of Alfasound? Was any other company, involved with the design of this for another station then, perhaps Top Format?

There may be an answer to this all….but to all intents and purposes,I'm sure Alfawave was a custom for Soundwave along with a number of the other packages on that CD – it was really only Go Gold for WABC that had started life in the Netherlands with Top Format – it originally being written for Radio 10 Gold.
Also,Re the later Alfa stuff, If you've seen Hodgy's posting regarding Octagon Music, you'll have seen the Key 103 '97 top of the hour on there plus a cut from Northsound 1 – and I would imagine that may have some bearing on it. I can also remember that after the split of Alfasound,Clocktower Creative's first demo had cuts from LA Connection,Essential Rhythm and Music Is Life plastered all over it.They must have kept hold of the rights to the later Alfa packages then – I wonder if anyone wants to email Steve to find out?
All a bit of a shame really – I'd love to get that Key 103 toth resung and get Brian James to do the “live from the heart…” bit ,albeit rewritten for me, if it became available !

MemberHave a feeling Top Format were in on the Soundwave, Swansea Sound, Top Flight, Power Positive & similar packages as most of these turned on the Top Format website, top gold of course on Radio 10 Gold (Is there a 999 WABC ? I dont think the station ever used the cuts in the UK more a demo sing I think) … Temple of Tune represent Jam & Top Format for clients that need French or Belgian French jingles. That could be why the Temple has the cuts showcased. I remember tracking down the Essex FM Power Positive package quickly there as of course it was my local station ! …

Thanks for all the replys. I would also say that Alfawave was a custom for Soundwave. Was just interested as I have seen it on jingle lists quite abit.
Having listened to the demo its fantastic. I have heard the news cut sung for Swansea Sound.
Out of interest, does anyone know if Alfawave has been resung for many other stations at all?

It was resung for Spire FM around the mid 90s.

The clue there is the cut for Dave Myatt who was doing Mid Mornings and was PD at the time. They had a DAT at the station with everything in the clear on it. From memory they didn't like it and therefore didn't air or pay for it instead opting for another set of JAM re sings. The package was still in demo form on the CD as the frequency was sung as 999 WABC not the correct frequencies of 990 or 1017 WABC.
Over a year late but what the hey!

Think this was posted recently I think but I am guessing these are the packages that were being talked about. The Soundwave 95 and Swansea Sound 95.
