Does anyone agree with me that the current jingle package used by BBC Radio Newcastle is really dreadful, the jingles themselves are ok it's the voice over, the guy in question certainly does not have the voice for jingles, over the years Radio Newcastle had great jingles including excellent sung packages.

I do agree that the Voiceover is drab – however i must say the new package is better than sticking with the likes of the JAM packages they had previously – these were just tired and outdated as far as i am concerned.

I know there are some big JAM fans out there who will defend them to the death, however that familiar sound has had its day in my opinion and anything is a marked improvement (excluding liners and anything else not sung!)

I would have liked to seen Newcastle have a custom IQBeats or indeed, a sung Music4 package instead.
