Just noticed that some new audio has appeared in the listening lougue of the 'On the Sly' website – http://www.onthesly.co.uk/
Southern FM jingles '06'
BBC digital campaign '06
BBC Radio 2 – What an amaizing line-up
Key 103 – Song Intro '06January 29, 2007 at 8:27 pm #28804MartinSJust noticed that the listening lounge here has been updated with some new audio for EMAP's Clyde 1 and Clyde 2,
Love the Clyde 1 jingles. Refreshing Logos and great to hear the sung “Glasgow”s. Great way of making the station stand out as local – shame more UK stations don't do it.

They just don't have the polish of the stuff we're hearing from TM, or Wise Buddah.January 30, 2007 at 1:46 am #28810LenGroatI have to agree with you Michael
'The Clyde 2 package sounds messy and the vocals don't fit the tracks'
I'd also add that they seem to have bought the same jingle about 15 times?
I suspect there are 2 singers, stacked, with vocals synchronised by digital stacking, not accurate singing?
I have no idea what they play from the style of the jingles?
And why no 'slogan' ?
I'd have sent them back…

Not as good as Wise Buddah, S2Blue, Bespoke, Music 4, etc…nowhere near…but thet still have the ability to do good jingles but they do need fine tuning. There's something not quite right about some of their jingles. Shame really.
January 30, 2007 at 5:55 pm #28820MarcMannetjeIt shows again that jingle production is a unique trade, a special skill and in some ways an art…
April 29, 2007 at 1:39 pm #29891MartinSBeen listening to Clyde 1 a lot lately, since it went on the UK National airwaves via Freeview Channel 724.
Amazingly, I've only heard one of the sung Wise Buddah cuts once -yesterday at the start of the Top Ten at Ten. Shame they don't seem to be using them to the full in daytime programming.
