      Hey JingleMad.Com Fans,

Apart from DevaWeb, are there any other cheap sung jingle companies out there? I’ve had 1 package from Deva, and very impressive, I was just wondering, that’s all!

      Cheers! Natt :D

“Cheap” is always a relative term, but as for getting a great value product for non-broadcast use, well, the 2 biggest Dallas studios can do it for you, JAM or TM Century. An individual sung cut would set you back $250 or $225 respectively. (And they’ll sound like a million dollars!).

Is there anything specific you’re after and what do you want to use them for?

Both Jam and TM offer excellent product but if you can not afford $225 -$250 per cut

Try Ben Freedman Productions at half of what the big two charge but still has the big full sound of the Dallas Singers

Click Below for a sample of what he produced for me last month

            http://www.jinglemad.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=getit&lid=1296

What ever you chose don’t forget to post the end result on JingleMad 😆

Yes Dave Langer / Barry Charndley were the Uk sales reps for Ben Freedman back in the 80’s

The Question natt was asking regarding “Cheap” Jingles and while both Jam and TM do have excellent Jingles $125 is still half the cost of $250 however as you are a fan of TM Centry you might like to listen to 4 of my personal cuts from them

I have paid for cheap jingles in the past and found you always get a female singer whos out on her vocals..cats can go mad listening to them…but for me …I would always go for
                            Tm
                            Pams
                            Jam
                            K r
                            in that order

And if we are looking at cheap ..I find the best deal ….studio dragonfly..thats cheap price but the jingle quality has not been lost

Hello there, new to this wonderful forum, really enjoy reading the comments, listening to the audio etc.

Now, I think I agree with “Barry” when he said

“I have paid for cheap jingles in the past and found you always get a female singer whos out on her vocals..cats can go mad listening to them…”

I am sure we will all agree that you get what you pay for, I know certainly from personal experience that some of my early jingles are less than perfect vocally (usually female), but I didn’t pay that much for them, so I cannot moan, can I?.

I think the problem is not with the singers, but with the actually writing of the notes. Yes, I agree that one man’s ceiling is another man’s floor, but surely they can tell it is not quite on the mark before they despatch them to the buyer as it sounds vocally way different to the cut you selected from the demo.

One company that people always seem to direct enquiries to when asking about cheap jingles (no name, no packdrill), the Male and Female singers are recorded on different days, so any immediate problems with the mix of vocals could be missed, unlike having the full “group” in the same room at the same session.

I now tend to deal exclusively with JAM now, as I like their “full vocal/music sound”, guess I am a traditionalist having grown up listening to Radio 1/2 etc. I also find JW very approachable and helpful, especially as my writing skills are not that brilliant (I am sure this is the case with Thompson and TM etc as well, but never dealt with them so cannot comment personally).

Finally, I wasn’t aware that TM operated a single jingle, personal cut programme, is it available through Studiofly?

TM will start offering this service inside the coming month on a new website, http://www.ijingles.com with a product offering to include all packages from Studio Dragonfly and TM Century combined. (Some exceptions apply, essentially parody and morning show songs).

Over the Years I have had personal cuts done from all the Major Jingle
companies and with the exception of TM. I have had to ask for at least one
cut to be re-sung so I can not say that makes any odds having vocals recorded over more than one session

I would have to agree with you that JW is the most helpful person in terms of helping with the writing of the cuts the only downside for me personally is the long time it takes -however the end product is very good

As you have had some JAM Cuts done yourself

Thanks guys for your replies, much appreciated.

Firstly, I look forward to Mr G’s TM Personal Cuts programme lauching soon, any news on a price?. Now we just have to get Larry to follow suit and we’ll be laughing (you hold him down and I’ll play him some vintage Alfasound/Manchester Mix cuts, that should do the trick LOL!!).

Secondly, I was sorry to hear that Martin had to have some of his cuts resung (I’m guessing the missing “T” in Martin was one of the problems?). Speaking personally, this has not been my experience with JAM and I put that down to good communications over a long period prior to the session. Yes, the time scale can be a pain, but the generous mixouts more than make up for that (IMHO).

With the favourably currency exchange, there’s never been a better time to buy jingles from YOUR favourite provider.

Thanks again for the warm welcome
