March 16, 2006 at 9:32 pm #25741fredgreekI have the following versions of that jingle (called ‘soul’)
Generic
Alex Lester
Mo Dutta
Matthew Wright (when he sat in for Steve Wright last year)
and one other – can’t quite hear what the lyrics say but it sounds like ‘The Hit Fires.’ :March 16, 2006 at 9:32 pm #27235fredgreekI have the following versions of that jingle (called ‘soul’)

‘The Hit Fires’ is actually ‘The Hit Files’ ❗
There is also a ‘Diffferent Every Time’ version,a Ken Bruce version and a long instrumental bed with ‘BBC Radio 2’ vocal at the end.The Matthew Wright cut was the generic with a voice over not a sung cut…..am I correct ?

I didn’t knew there was a different every time version but haven’t heard it.
I’ve got the long instrumental.
Matthew Wright was the one with a voice over.
Didn’t know Ken Bruce had a version of it.March 18, 2006 at 8:36 am #27246fredgreekfrank wrote:

Never heard it on airMarch 19, 2006 at 3:44 pm #27255cubwolfMemberI always thought the “different every time” part was just on the demo?
Never heard it on airMarch 19, 2006 at 6:35 pm #25762frankI have a poor quality version of the ‘Different Every Time’ version of the jingle in question on tape somewhere but cannot find it at the moment.Steve Wright used to play it….never heard anyone else play it.Don’t remember it on any of the demos,it’s the one and only ‘Different Every Time’ jingle I haven’t got a clean copy of.
That and the version of the Ken Bruce,Alex Lester,Janice Long,Mark Radcliffe,Mark Goodier,Richard Allinson,Bob Harris,Tim Smith heavy rock jingle with NO name in it.That’s never played although I know it does exist….March 19, 2006 at 6:35 pm #27256frankI have a poor quality version of the ‘Different Every Time’ version of the jingle in question on tape somewhere but cannot find it at the moment.Steve Wright used to play it….never heard anyone else play it.Don’t remember it on any of the demos,it’s the one and only ‘Different Every Time’ jingle I haven’t got a clean copy of.
