Its not a bad site (took a bit of time to load and I am on broadband)
The Demo is quite intresting
But the infomation on how much the jingles Opps sorry Microjams cost is
very Vague I am sure any PD who was thinking of using a new Jingle company would want to know a bit more than “Cash and barter deals available soon based on market size”February 19, 2006 at 11:01 pm #27145martinlesterMemberTOH wrote: Take a listen to the demo at http://www.microjams.com. LoL H aha ha.
website — not too bad for this site! i know it’s still under construction, it just takes some time to load.
demos — well, very promising, i think reelworld finally has meet their match?!
quality — i can say good, i think this company focuses more on music imaging, i mean, theyve done it good, you know, the way they blend the logo with the music. sad part though, there’s no consistency on the logo melody. all you can get is a musical composition with a station’s identity on the lyrics.
stations — Z100 has it! why not! Dave foxx loves Reelworld’s beatmixes and they Music and NRG packages. the KISS FM Chicago cuts are also cutting!
overall — very promising!

February 20, 2006 at 11:33 am #25654passajouAs a new jingle company, they can use a name or logo of a radio station like z100 without permission? Just for demo purposes?

February 20, 2006 at 1:10 pm #25655AdminYes. This company has been set up by Dave Kampel who is one of Z100’s station voices. He will have permission to use the station for demo purposes to help it sell better.
This has been the case for many years. Remember that Dallas Power was using Y95 Dallas on the TM demo, when in actual fact they never even aired the package.

February 20, 2006 at 7:15 pm #25657BarrasAND…taking that thought back even further to the 1960s and 1970s, the Pepper Tanner demos featured radio station call letters, despite the majority of the stations never actually bought those packages or used them on-air. Not sure whether Pepper Tanner even asked permission to use the call-letters in their demos. It was a so-called clever marketing ploy ( a lie really…)

February 20, 2006 at 7:25 pm #25658AlanjIt could have been reelworld or any other of the new companies. I really can’t spot the difference. SORRY

I’m sure Pepper didn’t have permission. The funniest thing… for those that paid attention… is that Pepper sometimes put the wrong frequency or city of license in the jingle demo they sang. So you’d have WXYZ in Podunk instead of Detroit.
