What’s updsetting is that the BBC has hidden away such a great piece of music for so long.

They should use it as the basis for a jingle package for Radio Four.

Jingles perform in my view the same function as typography in layout. We used to have signature tunes for PM… a great Moog piece… and World Service has Lilly Bailaro. Why not Radio Four? How many of its antidiluvian listeners and managers have to die before it enters the 1980’s?
