I thought that I would share this with you all..Just in case any of you make the same mistake as I did!
Do you remember a few weeks back a certain member came on boasting about the Radio London International JAM re-sings..
Promising to post them, send them, etc and then backing down!?!
Well I contacted Ray Anderson the owner of the station who told me the
whole package is available on CD for the pricey sum of £30…
A bit expensive for a CD I thought (but he said he would throw in the re-make of “We Love The Pirate Stations”)
I should of got a bit suspicious when he said “send me your credit card details by e-mail” Which I didn’t and after several more e-mail exchanges
agreed to buy through his Radio Fab “On-Line” shop using PayPal.
This was 2 weeks ago and guess what…….Nothing!
3 e-mails sent to him and no replies to any of them.
Luckily I paid via Paypal and have now started proceedings to get my money refunded.
The funny thing is 2 of my fellow collectors advised me NOT to purchase from Ray Anderson due to past bad experiences and I should of really know better from 20 years back! 😳So be warned……
I will let you know of the out-come 😉
Incidentally does anyone know who would of Licensed Radio London International?
(Found out its OFCOM )Regards,
Pete

I have also had problems with him in the past but at least you have paid by Credit Card with PayPal they will give him 7 Days to Refund you or post the goods
The Problem is if he has cleaned out his PayPal account then they can not do much (but I will Email you to advise how to get round this Problem)
Good Luck
PS I wonder if he has the correct Licience to re-sell JAM Jingles on CD !

August 11, 2005 at 5:36 pm #25035charlie_m0pztFor the record, I offered to post some jingles – before checking with Ray – and was later ask not to. I recall that I said I was sorry about this, and would probably put a few on here once a jingle CD was available to buy.
I’m sorry that you weren’t able to get copies of the jingles off me, and perhaps your collection has suffered. Bottom line, I may have acted a little hasty in my hopes to share some audio with you – but at the end of the day I’m doing freelance work for them, and that is the most important thing to me.
In light of the almost “un-gratefulness” of some, I think I’ll withdraw my offer totally – good luck purchasing the CD

August 11, 2005 at 6:58 pm #25036cosgrovebmI don’t know if that would be legal for a station to sell a CD of JAM’s work. I believe that the jingles are used under license from JAM but remains JAM’s property… So therefore the only person that could legally sell it to you would be JAM…
Maybe I don’t know enough about the situation, but thought I’d offer my two cents…
bcoz

Unfortunately Ray Anderson does have the rights…
I checked it out with Steve England before I sent the payment!August 11, 2005 at 7:16 pm #26038UKJinglesMemberAuthorcosgrovebm wrote: I don’t know if that would be legal for a station to sell a CD of JAM’s work. !Latest News….Simon Anderson who seems to have the PayPal account for the RadioFab Shop has till JingleDay 2005 to answer the complaint (10 days to respond) If money or goods aren’t received then the money is returned automatically and the PayPal account is suspended.
I am still going to send a complaint to OFCOM stating that a Radio Station that they licenced is running a dodgy On-Line Shop with the reasons why!August 16, 2005 at 9:15 pm #26044UKJinglesMemberAuthormartinlester wrote:

The money can only be returned if it is still in the PapPal account.
Chances are, it won’t be!

Martin Lester has given me an alternate method…But I will play fair and give it the full 10 days before I go down that route 😉
I shall also contact OFCOM as its all part of the same outfit…
You would of thought Ray Anderson would of learnt his lesson about “ripping people off” since the days of East Anglian Productions now he’s a legal radio station owner ?!?
But I will wait till Monday morning and see if the payment or goods have materialised then all hell will be let loose!BTW…E-mail me your new address David as you’re not coming down sunday and I’ll send you my JingleMix CD next week
