Can anyone help, pulled out my Revox A77 yesterday with a box of reels, looking for the B side of “The Jam song” found it on a reel of Ampex tape, recorded in 1984, oh no ! the unthinkable !!!
D’oh !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s shedding oxide like snow of a ditch,tried the old baking in the oven ploy, with no sucess, can anyone help me get a copy of the track, it starts “Where have all the jingles gone”

It`s got “shotgun” jingles from JAM, TM and other companies mixed in the Comment song. I`ll upload later today Pete, as I said before I think it`s from Michael Neff unless anyone knows otherwise ?

There are a couple of other edits/mixes of “The Comment” with the tag line You Bet We Give A Damn, At JAM sung.

There was also a demo in the 1980`s presented by Jon Wolfert called ANOTHER COMMENT. It features the original Comment acapella jingle and a short montage of JAM jingles at that time.

Thanks a million guys!, after discovering that, I’m very aware of Ampex reel
think I’ll transfer all my classic rarities just incase the same thing happens!
I’ve got a copy of the TM Song, it was made in 1969, (it says on the sleeve)
think that is where the idea came from.
