Who has visited the Amastude website?
Their demo montage includes a jingle I commissioned for radio six international. When I heard it, I wasn’t exactly ecstatic and they gave me a refund. (Okay. twenty quid for a bespoke sung jingle isn’t likely to be much cop. And indeed it isn’t.)
It troubles me slightly that they’re now using something as bad as that to advertise their wares – the impression may be that we’d actually bought, paid for, and used the jingle!
It was interesting, but I think we’ll continue to stick to JAMS in the future!

July 13, 2004 at 9:19 pm #24062DavidHemsleyThey really are dire.
But yours wasn’t the worse one on the demo – not by a long shot!
Twenty quid! – blimey ‘gov – talk about getting skanked!
July 14, 2004 at 4:35 pm #24063DJ87I’d keep an eye on them if I were you – they could be a real contender for Jam ๐

July 19, 2004 at 4:22 am #24073simon_t123MemberHey fellas, go easy on the guy ! on his website I see he’s doing unlimited voiceovers for free, and his produced stuff is available by donation. I don’t know that backround for the fella, but I made some enquiries and the guy was happy to provide a whole load of dry voice right away for free, I’m only saying this cos’ I wonder if the guys feelings might get hurt as the group rips the piss outta his work ? And for all the hospital jocks with no budget at all, this is one way to get some customised material !
Worth thinking about ?
July 19, 2004 at 4:39 pm #24074DavidHemsleyIf it was any good Simon believe me we would be praising it. But even the free voice overs are naff.
No one here is picking on the firm just for the sake of it, it’s genuinely dire.
July 19, 2004 at 6:22 pm #24075UKJinglesMemberC’mon own up… its got to be a Spoof?
No one in their right mind would actually pay (or barter!) for these?!?!?
