I read the following info on The Radio Ark Forum this evening:
The Radio Ark is pleased to annouce a new deal with the BBC. This deal will see the corporation handing over their entire back catalogue of jingles to the Radio Ark to be archived on our website. A BBC spokesman said that they had been looking for many years for a way to make their archive available to the public and had now decided to look outside the corporation to find a suitable source.
The archive consists of thousands of jingles used not only by the national BBC stations like Radio 1 and 2, but also includes items from every regional and local station owned and run by the BBC.
It is anticipated that the entire archive should be on-line by the end of 2004.
