WCBS-FM in New York are airing a new JAM package to complement their existing Do It Again package and Super Hits from Tony Griffin Productions.
Here’s one of the cuts….
Enjoy!

March 9, 2004 at 12:09 am #23725mbMemberYea I’ve just ordered some jingles too One from the Do it again package. The vocals on that cut sound fantastic – These are the jingles that make the back of my neck tingle can’t wait to hear the whole package.
March 9, 2004 at 8:40 am #23727NickySMemberYou have to hand it to Jon and the JAM team no one really makes oldies/80s jingles like they do.
March 9, 2004 at 12:33 pm #23728DavidHemsleyJust happens I know someone that works at WCBS-FM so hopefully I’ll have some cuts in the clear soon . . .

Indeed!
Here’s another new cut from Jam for WCBS-FM…
March 10, 2004 at 7:50 am #23731AdminI like them, but I can tell you that they aren’t going down too well in New York.
Somebody said they are “horrible” while another person said “the jingles are not as good as I’d expect considering the station has the best radio personalities in the world!…they should have a package that bounces between late 60’s and 70’s style jingles”

March 11, 2004 at 1:35 pm #23743OnyxPaulMemberThey must have ordered them Neal. Jam only produce what they are asked to so presumably that is the sound and style the client wanted.
March 11, 2004 at 4:29 pm #23752mbMemberI once remember reading an article in the telegraph when Radio 1 went to Groove Addicts and the production team at Radio 1 were slagging off the Ultimate One package and I thought it was a bit unfair becuase it was a custom package and therefore they were given what they had briefed JAM to do.

Yeah I know. The comments I posted come from CBS-FM listeners.

March 12, 2004 at 11:32 am #23762mbMemberWhat do listeners know 😆
March 12, 2004 at 2:01 pm #23763BigdaveThey’re not bad…not bad at all…
Mind you , most CBS listeners would have followed people like Bruce Morrow etc from WABC – so anybody for a resing of “You’ve Got It”?
“You’ve got a friend – WCBS !”

“Apparently, it’s a work in progress – there will be additional cuts”

Here’s 5 more of CBS-FM’s new jingles. I’m glad I’ve still got this free year of AOL. Their stream over broadband is almost as good as getting them over the air!

Did Jam the previous jingle package or was it another jingle company?

The last package they bought was Super Hits from Tony Griffin Productions. However, they were/are still using cuts from JAM’s Do It Again; Frank Gari Productions and others.

March 31, 2004 at 3:16 am #23800stephenWhat a great oldies station… loads of personality and energy… oldies from the 60s and 70s sound just great on FM. What a shame the gold networks in the UK are stuck on medium wave.
WCBS-FM seem to be using the top of the hour cut from Jam’s Do it Again package (mixed into a montage of hits) as well as the new cuts.
Yours,
Stephen (reporting live from New York City).
April 8, 2004 at 8:57 am #23810JingleMadMemberAuthorNot only is a new JAM custom package being aired on WCBS-FM, but WABC ‘Talk Radio’ is also airing a new JAM custom.
Here’s a sample cut……
April 8, 2004 at 2:11 pm #23811wwmgcbsfanThese definitely sound great! They definitely have more personality that the “Super Hits” package. “Super Hits” sounded too ordinary on CBS-FM; they needed something to spruce themselves up, which they now have! Now the only thing is to get a new weather cut…….that cut has no personality in the actual bed at all!
April 8, 2004 at 7:43 pm #23812mbMemberCome on JAM – get those Demo’s up I can’t wait to hear the full WCBS package it sounds really really good.
April 8, 2004 at 8:44 pm #23813wwmgcbsfanYeah – did anyone hear the re-mix of the new CBS-FM Jock Cut? The version before it was re-mixed sounded great, and much better than the old ‘plays your favorite oldies’ cut, but now, the re-mix sounds horrible – they took out the “New York’s” and created a new intro and ending to the jingle. BRING THE FIRST NEW VERSION BACK!
May 25, 2004 at 5:37 pm #23926JingleMadMemberAuthorOne station has had a few of the custom CBS-FM cuts re-sung already.
102.7 WQSR are using Presenter IDs, TOTH ID and an Acapella from the CBS-FM package, along side TGP’s Super Hits package.
You can hear an example of the WQSR Presenter ID here…………….

May 25, 2004 at 6:20 pm #23927bulger23Those samples sound great! I can’t wait to hear the full demo.
Those mixed well with everything played in those samples.
But what would else would you expect from JAM.

It would be great if someone could post the audio of the TOTH ID – I would love to see what we have coming to us in NYC — CBS-FM is still using their old TOTH ID. THANKS!!!
