Hi everyone,
WMSL-UK a digital online broadcaster has recently taken delivery of a brand new Jingle package. It was produced by the fantastic T M Century in Dallas, It is custom re-sing of KSSK (big time package see http://www.tmcentury.com for more info)
The package was produced to re-enfore the stations policy of ‘Just great songs from the 80s 90s and today’ 24/7
As the station has no live presenters some of the walk ups are voiced over by Greg Marsten to give the worldwide audience that UK feel.
You can listen live to wmsl-uk via http://www.wmsluk.com
Cheers,
Markie

The vocals are spot and the music has texture and depth.
My only fly in the ointment is I don’t like Greg Marsdens voice at all.
Ruins all those nice TM tracks 😯 .March 1, 2004 at 8:21 pm #23678RjMThanks for posting. Love that top of hour resing, could United Kingdom be sung any better!
Do TM Century offer a ‘Personal Cuts’ style 1 cut only resing service?
March 2, 2004 at 1:07 am #23679MarkieHi Peeps,
Thanks for the comments about the wmsl-uk package:
To answer the questions,
RJM: to be honest I’m not sure if TM Century offer just single cut re-sings, I rekon your best bet would be to drop them a mail or give them a call. You may be lucky and be able to piggy-back your cut on the end of some others when the session singers are in the studio as I know on this package there were 7 of them in the studio to record the cuts, so to get them in to record a single cut would be tricky I rekon but see how you get on, if you dont have much joy, let me know and I will see what strings I can pull 😉
MB: Thanks for the kind words about the package, I know what you are saying about greg but as the station is mostly automated there needs to be an element of english voiceing in there somewhere and the station thought that this was the best way to achive it along with the station promo’s which are also voiced by greg as well.
I’ll have some wmsl-uk sweepers to upload soon…..
Best,

Well – it won’t be as cheap as a JAM Personal Cut – but yes you can buy just one cut from TMCI – though it will cost you the normal price . . .
Alternatively – wait until December and enter our 3rd Jingle Mix contest!
March 2, 2004 at 4:59 pm #23681JingleMadMemberDavid-
I think it’s time to kill the “-J-A-M-” word filter that expands those three letters to JAM !!
It’s messed-up a load of links to downloads, and it’s pretty verbose.
(Thank god they don’t answer the phone like that!)
Can it be done?
-SeanIf you’ve got the Authentic 80’s demo CD by them, it starts off with a jingle: “Authentic 80’s J-A-M”, now imagine that sung this way using the special JingleMad word filter: “Authentic 80’s JAM” !!
March 2, 2004 at 5:02 pm #23682DavidHemsleyHi Sean – as I said in a previous post, it won’t let me change it back for some reason – I would have thought that our esteemed leader would have read my post on it and fixed it by now.
Sorry, but if it can’t be fixed by him, then JW will have to change the name of his company

March 2, 2004 at 10:51 pm #23689DJI must say its great to listen to a package that does not SHOUT the vocals and are enjoyable to listen to (pitty about the V/O)
Last year I ordered some personal cuts from TM and I got a call from greg clancy about how I wanted the jingles sung and the attention to detail is quite outstanding,
A good few years before this I recall my first experience with a Dallas Jingle singers was not good despite very clear instructions it took 4-5 re sings just to sing Martin the english way and not mar’in
TM got it right first time !
March 3, 2004 at 8:48 am #23694JingleMadMemberDJ highlights an interesting point . . . . Martin.
All across the English-speaking world that name is pronounced differently. Many years ago I had my entire order resung, partly because of incorrect pronunciation – but there was no problem at all with the company.
In one of the sessions I attended at JAM they sang my jingles, Martin with a hard “t”, followed by a jingle for another Martin – sung the “American” way.
So, Mr DJ Martin – when can we hear your jingles . . . . . . . ??
-SeanMarch 3, 2004 at 6:12 pm #23699DJHi Sean
I do intend to post the jingles but I also have no idea on how to transfer a CD to a MP3 file so hopefully the Cool edit will help with this as well !
What was anoying for me was with my 1st sung jingle done in dallas, I sent a cassete tape of how the same sould be sung and they got it wrong several times the last time when they got it right , I then orderd 2 more cuts both was sung in the same session one sang martin and the seccond sang mar’in the american way.
After this a few years on Steve England used to go to dallas every few months and as he always produced the sessions so if I orded a alfasound re-sing it was great to listen to the jingles from Dallas with my name sounding correctly. 😆
Regards
Martin
