Hi there Tom. Must say I’m loving the sampler you’ve posted. It’s made me realise just how many PAMS jingles I love. I like the outtakes too – where did you get those?

        Many thanks for sharing

Geoff: I'll get back to you later on the outtakes, but for the moment it seems the URL got messed up in the site transition.

          Once again, it's: http://www.tomtwine.com/jingles.html

As to the outtakes, they're mostly from the series of PAMS Christmas Party tapes from the '60s and 1972. I came upon a tape at WUVT/Virginia Tech in 1970 with WNDR's Series 31 (customized all-request — see cut 5), the Series 32 WKDA demo (see cut 31), and a long final cut listed as “PAMS Christmas Parties.” From what I know now, it was probably more than one '60s-era Christmas Party tape, spliced together.

The “faavh in a row/five in a row” cut (70) is from the master tape of PAMS Series 36 Sonovox extra cuts recorded for WGH(…followed by five-in-a-row of Series 18/Cut 20, “Sonoguitar Slides,” cuts 71 through 75!)

Which brings me to this…what other “Easter Eggs” can you find in the montage? Besides the obvious tribute to the back-home AM top 40 station of my youth, WGH/Newport News-Norfolk, Virginia, there are other tributes hidden in this set.

Please give a listen and report what you find. Thanks!

                Here's the direct link:

                http://www.filelodge.com/files/room31/858222/thtwine_sampler.mp3.

It is free file hosting, so I guess sometimes it doesn't work as well as others.
