Just following on from gameswizards post about radio on video, I mentioned in that post a TV programme that was transmitted in about 1977. The programme was called “Then and Now” and looked at people`s jobs comparing the differences from years ago and today. In one episode it featured Noel Edmonds who was presenting the breakfast show on Radio One in the 1970s and compared it with John Snagg who originally presented the BBC breakfast show in 1924 !
I recorded this TV show onto cassette tape and have just dug out for another listen.
Picture the scene, Noel Edmonds walking across the zebra crossing outside the All Saints Church in Langham Place, London into BBC broadcasting HQ and then into Radio One. Have a listen to this…
