I remember hearing a County Radio jingle at the start of a Frost episode once. The scene included an alcoholic woman throwing up in the bath with the radio on in the background. She was either an alcoholic or throwing up at the jingle which, if i remember rightly, sounded pretty awful.

Yes its strange – mainly because “Denton” in the series is supposedly close by to Leeds.

With all background sound in filmed (or DigiBeta processed to look like film) drama being added in post production I can only guess that the sound editor was a closet jingle/ILR aircheck collector !
