The TOTH cut for Buzz came from the Q101 package ‘Hyperlink’ so they were cleared to use that. The Chiltern 5 ‘Hot FM’ cuts however, weren’t available for the rest of the UK market as this was a custom package for the network (which later became part of the Z World demo for Z100).

The Beat 92 was originally for KKBT in Los Angeles so this was available not only to the Hot FM stations, but also to the rest of the UK. Not many stations picked up this package though.

Yeh I thought that was probabaly the case. I do remember speaking to one of the Alfasound team just before it’s demise around late 96 and was told that the package could be re sung (it was an RSL enquiry…) due to the fact GWR no longer aired them. Perhaps they only had a five year licence on them which GWR didn’t renew after the takeover..???

Was this package ever syndicated for any other UK stations..?

I do believe some of the cuts were on the Island FM composite
circa 1992-95, as Guernsey/Alderney are not technically part
of the UK (in fact the Channel Islands are independant
Crown Protectorates, and not even part of the EU?)

          …somewhere I’ve got the Alfa demo cassette… :?

Was the Billboard bed/cut (sung on the package for Northants but used by ’em all with shouts instead of singers) one of the custom cuts or was that a Hyperlink cut syndicated, like the weather
