UKJingles
Memberlogikreader wrote: It’s hard to explain, but I remember there being a CD with generic jingles with phrases, like “music power”, “more music”, “solid gold”, etc. You could use it to pepper an internet broadcast and the license was unlimited for the jingles.
This would be a great resource, and lots of fun to play with… anyway I vaguely remember such a cd being available at one point, but I can’t find it anymore. Does anyone know what I’m talking about?

Hi Dave,
How times have changed….we used to call them “Non Custom” back in the last Century..but “Generic” is cooler! 😆
There has been loads of these..starting with EAP and their JINGLE SINGLES (7″ Vinyl) back in the 1970’s right through to KEN R and the Pro-Pak CD’s…..And not forgetting the current Generation from BEN FREEDMAN and the Promo Bank CD’s.
You will find some on E-Bay for sale 😉November 6, 2005 at 2:56 am #18091megatron_85

Have a look at i-tunes music store. There are examples here if you type in “jingle DJ” in the search field. Albums are available to download for £7.99, for example Radio DJ Vol 1 has 90 tracks
Hope this is the sort of thng you are looking for

Don`t forget about the Alfasound Tapetrix L.P. records Volumes 1, 2, and 3. Lots of general purpose jingles, yearchecks, American voice overs, joke stings, sports, summer, sonovox, weekend, daytimes, golden oldie, logos, moog effects, chart rundown, hospital radio, disco, motown, shotguns, news, Christmas and New Year, fanfares and even Britain`s National Anthem. I`ve got all 3 records in my collection, if anyone wants any cuts, drop me an email at:
“Jingles” Volume 3 is quite interesting as the sung jingles were recorded in Dallas, TX. Volume 1 & 2 were recorded in Manchester, UK.

Here`s an example of what`s on Jingles 3 by Alfasound. Anyone know who sang these jingles in Dallas ?

The last one is obviously Trella Hart and the Alfasound singers in Manchester.

That last one doesn’t sound quite like Trella to me, Dave. I’ll ask her about it next time I speak to her… but I doubt it’s her.

The sleeve of Alfasound Jingles 3 (I’ve got the vinyl here) says it’s Trella, but I guess it’s quite possible that the sleeve could be wrong!

Alfasound did do some stuff with Trella.
I remember there being a tape you could purchase called Trella Pellas or something like that.
As for Jingles 3 – Alfa used to refer to the vocal group as the Dallas Singers if I remember correctly.
There was also another Alfasound generics tape with resings of Chiltern cuts and the old Metro/TFM news jingle on.

Yes, that’s the “production power” tape on jingle-ark. “Take a long weekend, relax and enjoy your radio”, as opposed to “Take a long weekend, take along Chiltern radio” and so on!

Ah yes!
I’m glad I wsn’t going mad. I think my tape came with a luminous green sticker on it!
