September 16, 2005 at 3:56 pm #17569gameswizardMembergreat montage-the quieter jingles[the audio wasnt at a constant volume],phone in and the other speech bits let it down.apart from that it were great stuff.
September 16, 2005 at 11:18 pm #17579JingleMadMemberAuthorBrandon, the links working for me. Let me know if it still doesn’t work for you and I’ll email it to you.
Thanks gw, I still haven’t mastered the art of having all the audio at constant volume. Is there a way to do it in cool edit when the montage has been mixed down from the multi-track?
September 17, 2005 at 6:19 am #17580ratnobMemberAs some jingle funsters know, I’m an Apple obsessive and use their GarageBand software for all my jingles montages – very flexible and intuitive. Then you export the finished mix to iTunes. Very neat.

Hi Paul-
Volume differences can be a pain in the butt, especially because our source material comes from all over the place and may have already been processed.
Personally, I use a “perceived” volume-levelling system . . . ie my ears and adjust each individual jingle accordingly to achieve an overall smooth volume. Then, at mixdown, apply hard limiting. (I’ve also been told that RadioLimit in the Dynamics Processing section is good for smoothing volume levels).
Hope that helps somehow!

I finally got it to download last night. Excellent montage, as always, just like everyone else here. I don’t what I’d do without you guys to take care of my jingle cravings. Keep em coming!

Just listened to it (busy week) and it sounds great. Particularly enjoyed hearing so much JAM, and the levels sound fine to me.
September 18, 2005 at 4:45 pm #17600JingleMadMemberAuthorThanks Sean, I never knew about that in Cool Edit. I really should read the help file once in a while.
Brandon and Geoff – glad you both liked it.
