I’ve just added an American Forces Radio montage to my website, it’s very 70’s and very laid back. All the cuts are in stereo and produced by TM (I think :D ) Enjoy, as usual any comments appreciated.

Yup. That’s the WMAQ TM logo embedded into the country cuts. Very typical vocals with Judy Parma singing the upfront female leads. Great stuff!

They also had other TM Shockwave cuts sung… whose reference dubs fill several 7″ reels over here. In addition, they had cuts done by Spot, TotalSound/Parma, Tanner and PAMS. Most were delivered to the stations on vinyl LPs.

Beautiful. I think Tom Merriman made some of the best jingles of all time during that era. Happy tunes with a really strong logo ident. Some of the WMAQ jingles Tracy mentions are superb.
