You had to be a listener to UK commercial radio in the mid-1970s to realise how bad home-produced jingles could be. Here’s my top 5 classic crap jingles. Endure …

You got to remember thanks to the bully tactics of the MU….
Commercial Radio HAD to have their Jingles produced in the UK!
BTW…. Was that a very early TAPETRIX Name check of yours on the end Geoff??August 7, 2004 at 3:24 pm #13741ratnobMemberAuthorPete! I thought you had more class than that! It’s the Capital one that particularly makes me squirm.
Yes I had a few Alfasound jingles made – including some of the Sonotronics cuts. They were from my hospital radio days.
August 7, 2004 at 8:32 pm #13744jlehmannHow do you play a M4A file? It won’t play in Winamp or Windows Media Player.

I’m having the same problem – using Windows Media Player 9.
Meanwhile, here’s another couple of candidates for the naff jingles list. They’re the only ones I could find on the net from Blue Danube Radio, Vienna, who have to have had one of the worst jingle packages ever:

PS – anybody admit to having a copy of the Viva!963 package?

August 12, 2004 at 8:10 am #13776ratnobMemberAuthorI take it all back. Now we’re talking REALLY bad jingles – a small sample of the truly dreadful PAMS sing-overs done by EAP in the early 80s. Do not dowload this on a full stomach. The file, appropriately, is called “2Bad” and is 1.2 MB m4a format.
