Hi

Is it me ! or have Radio 2 changed all their Idents ? Could it be that they are only using more Orchestral Ones at the moment as to me the News and the Travel Ident have changed and there was another after the news that appeared to be different. I did wonder wether due to the circumstances they were using these .Anyone else noticed this ?

I’d guess it’s to highlight the national mood. Certainly, Times Radio have changed to slower, more reflective IDs this week.

And I was lucky that I recorded this off BBC Sounds. I call this one a sad and sombre version of the TOH bumper.
I heard this the first time, and I think the BBC is using this in severe events, such as the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.

Always traditionLly refreshes or new packages in September on Radio (one) so who knows?
